Create a Kona Space for a Contract When You Create the Contract

When you create a contract from an existing contract, a contract template, or an opportunity, GovWin Capture Management can also create a space for the contract in Kona Business.

Prerequisites: GovWin Capture Management must be configured to integrate with Kona Business on the Miscellaneous tab of the General System Settings form, and you must be logged on to Kona on the Misc tab on the User Options dialog box.

To create a Kona space for a new contract when you create the contract, complete the following steps:

1. From the GovWin Capture Management Navigation menu, click Info Center > Contracts.
2. Click New and select Create Contract from.
3. On the Create Contract from dialog box, select Create Kona Space. Exception: If you are creating the contract from an opportunity, the opportunity is linked to a Kona space, and you want the contract to be linked to that space, do not select Create Kona Space. GovWin Capture Management then links the contract to that existing space rather than create a new space.
4. Complete the remaining fields on the Create Contract from dialog box, and click OK. GovWin Capture Management closes the Create Contract from dialog box and opens a new contract record. The Kona space name displays in the Kona Space field on the General tab, and the space displays below that field. Employees listed on the Team tab are automatically invited to join the space.
