Copy a Phase or Task Record

You can copy a contract's existing phase and task information to create additional phases and tasks for that contract.

If GovWin Capture Management detects possible duplicate records during this procedure, the Potential Duplicate Records Found dialog box displays. This dialog box lists any existing record that already has the identifier that you are trying to use for a new record.

To copy a phase or task, complete the following steps:

  1. From the GovWin Capture Management Navigation menu, click Info Center > Contracts.
  2. On the Contract Info Center form, open the contract record for which you will create the phase or task.
  3. Click the Phase/Task icon and use the Phase/Task lookup to open the phase that you want to copy.
  4. Click New and select Copy Current Phase. GovWin Capture Management opens the Create Phase from dialog box. The current contract and phase names display on the dialog box.
  5. Complete the remaining fields on the Create Phase from dialog box and click OK. GovWin Capture Management closes the dialog box and copies the phase details into the record. You can modify the phase information.
  6. To copy task information, use the Phase/Task Lookup to open the task that you want to copy.
  7. Click New and select Copy Current Task. GovWin Capture Management opens the Create Task from dialog box. The current contract, phase, and task names display on the dialog box.
  8. Complete the remaining fields on the Create Task from dialog box and click OK. GovWin Capture Management closes dialog box and copies the task details into the record. You can modify the task information.
  9. Click Save.
