Copy a Contract Record

You can copy the current contract record to duplicate the record's information, and then edit and save the record to create a new contract record.

If GovWin Capture Management detects possible duplicate records during this procedure, the Potential Duplicate Records Found dialog box displays. This dialog box lists any existing record that already has the identifier that you are trying to use for a new record.

Copying a contract with attached documents does not copy the documents to the new contract.

To copy the current contract record, complete the following steps:

  1. From the GovWin Capture Management Navigation menu, click Info Center > Contracts.
  2. On the Contract Info Center form, select the contract record that you want to copy.
  3. Click New and select Copy Current Contract. The Create Contract From dialog box displays. The current contract's name displays in the Contract field on the dialog box. You cannot edit this field; you will assign a unique identifier for the new contract.
  4. Complete the remaining fields on the Create Contract From dialog box.
  5. Click OK. GovWin Capture Management closes the Create Contract from dialog box and opens a new contract record. GovWin Capture Management copies the entire Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and all contract data from the current contract record to the new contract record.
  6. On the tabs of the Contract Info Center form, add or modify contract data and specify a unique identifier for the new record.
  7. Click Save.
