View and Pin the Customer Hierarchy Tree
The Customer Hierarchy tree displays the parent-subsidiary relationships of your customers in graphical form.
When you have firms or agencies that should be associated in a hierarchical relationship, you can create, view, and report contact,
contract, and opportunity data at both an individual and rolled-up level. This information gives you a better understanding, for example, of
contract profitability or opportunity award ratios.
Prerequisite: Your system administrator must enable customer hierarchies in Configuration.
To pin the Customer Hierarchy Tree, complete the following steps:
- On the General tab of the Customer Info Center form, select a customer record.
- In the Parent field, specify a parent customer.
- Complete the remaining fields on the General tab.
- Click Save.
- Click Customer Hierarchy to view a dialog box that shows thecustomer's hierarchy. By default, the dialog box closes automatically when you select an entry from the customer hierarchy tree. To change this behavior, you pin the tree.
- Click Pin to pin the Customer Hierarchy tree to the application. GovWin Capture Management moves the tree from the dialog box to the left side of the screen. When you select an entry from the tree while it is pinned, the tree remains visible and you can navigate the customer hierarchy more easily.
- To see data for a different phase or task, click its identifier in the pinned tree.
- To close and remove the pin from the tree, click Delete.
