Opportunities Tab of Customer Info Center

Use the Opportunities tab to associate one or more opportunities with a customer. You associate an opportunity record with a customer record when you add it to the Opportunities grid. Both records reflect the association.

If the opportunity record that you want to add to the Opportunities grid does not yet exist in your database, you can create a new opportunity record and simultaneously add the new opportunity record to the Opportunities grid.

Field Description
For this customer only Select this option to view the contacts associated with the customer. This option displays if your system administrator configured GovWin Capture Management to use multiple customer levels, or hierarchies.
For this customer and all lower levels of the hierarchy Select this option to view all levels of the hierarchy that are associated with the customer. This option displays if your system administrator configured GovWin Capture Management to use multiple customer levels, or hierarchies.

Opportunities Grid

The fields on the grid display information from the opportunity record in the Opportunity Info Center.

Field Description
Opportunities Drop-down

Click the drop-down arrow on a grid header to complete any of the following actions:

  • To print grid data, click Print. On the Print Preview form, click File > Print to send the grid data to your default printer.
  • To export grid data to an Excel spreadsheet, click Export to Excel. When Microsoft Excel opens, use its features to modify, print, or email the grid data, or to save the spreadsheet file locally.
  • To turn on grouping for a grid, click Enable Grouping. When a field displays with the instruction: "Drag a column header here to group by that column," drag and drop column headers into the field, in the sequence that you want them to display.

Not all options are available on all grids.

Associate Click this option if the opportunity that you are adding already exists in your database.
New Click this option to create a new opportunity record and add the opportunity to the Opportunities grid.
Remove Click this option to remove an opportunity from the Opportunities grid.
Customer Select this to associate the record as a customer of the firm. GovWin Capture Management selects this option if the Customer option is selected on the General tab.
Vendor/Partner Select this to associate the record as a vendor/partner of the firm. GovWin Capture Management selects this option if the Vendor/Partner option is selected on the General tab.
Name This field displays the name of the opportunity.

Click the name to open the record in the current browser window or right-click the name and then click the Open in new window option to open the record in a separate browser window.

Number This field displays the opportunity number.
Stage This field displays the current stage of the opportunity.
Role Click in this field and then use the drop-down list to select the customer's role on the opportunity. If the customer is entered in the Primary Customer field on the General tab of the associated Opportunity Info Center record, the role displays as Owner. You define customer role options in Code Table Configuration.
Role Description Enter additional information about thecustomer's role on the opportunity.

Click Edit to use the Text Editor to enter information.
