Deltek GovWin Capture Management - Activity Dialog Box

Use the Deltek GovWin Capture Management - Activity dialog box to enter activity information. The activity information is saved in the Activity Manager application.

Location

To display the dialog box, complete the following steps:

  1. Right-click the Deltek GovWin Capture Management Quick Launch icon () in your system tray or click Deltek GovWin Capture Management on the toolbar of the Add-Ins tab in Outlook.
  2. Select Create Activity.

Field Description
Subject Enter an activity Subject. Typically, the subject is a short descriptive statement, such as Initial Consultation, Planning Meeting, or Follow-up Visit.
Location Select the location where the activity occurred, or will occur.
Private A check mark in this box indicates that the activity currently selected in the Activities grid is a private activity. Details for a private activity can be viewed only by the owner and attendees of the activity.
Type Select the activity type, such as Meetings or Phone Calls. You can define additional activity type values using the Activity Types Code Table in Code Table Configuration. See your system administrator for information about adding values to this list.
Priority Select the activity priority: High, Medium, or Low.
Completed Select this box if the activity is Completed. If it's not checked, the activity is Pending.
Customer Select the name of the customer associated with the activity.
Contact Select the name of the primary contact associated with the activity.
Bus. # A telephone number is automatically entered in this field when a Contact is selected.
Opportunity Select the name of the opportunity associated with the activity.
Contract Select the name of the contract associated with the activity.
Marketing Campaign Select the name of the marketing campaign associated with the activity.
Primary Lead Select the name of the primary lead associated with the activity.
Activity Owner Select the name of the employee who is responsible for this activity (the activity owner). Typically, the activity owner is the person who schedules the activity.
Created By This field displays the name of the employee who created the activity (that is, the employee who entered the activity into the GovWin Capture Management database).
Start Time Select the start date and time for the activity.
End Time Select the end date and time for the activity.
All day event Select this option if the activity will last for an entire day. When you select this option the activity start time displays as 8:00 AM and the activity end time displays as 5:00 PM. However, you can modify these times, if necessary.

Use the drop-down list in this field to select an option that will indicate how participants' time will be classified on their GovWin Capture Management Activity Calendar for the duration of the activity.

Your options include Busy, Free, Out of the Office, and Tentative.

Reminder Select this option to activate the Reminders feature. Use the reminder options to further specify the reminder constraints.
Notes Enter any notes or information related to the activity.

If you enter text directly in the Notes field, you must:

  • Press SHIFT + ENTER to start a new line of text.
  • Press ENTER to start a new paragraph.
Add File This option displays the Add/Associate File to Activity dialog box, which is used to add files to the Attachments tab. All added files are added to the Files tab of associated Info Centers, if any, when the activity is created.
