Data Export Reports Overview

GovWin Capture Management Reporting includes a set of Data Export reports that give you the option to print or download to a file virtually all data in a general area of GovWin Capture Management.

For example, the Customer Export report gives you access to the data stored in the Customer Info Center. You preview, print, or download Data Export reports the same way you do other types of GovWin Capture Management reports.

The intended use of the Data Export reports is to download data into Excel spreadsheets for auditing, custom reporting, and analysis purposes. You can select up to 100 columns for a data export report. Up to 15 of the columns can be user-defined columns.

Standard reports, with sorting and grouping levels and multiple levels of headings, do not always download cleanly into a spreadsheet format. To overcome that problem, the Data Export reports display all data in a simple columns-and-rows format. The reports have a single row of column headings but no report title or other report header information.

Limitations

These are simple reports with a specialized purpose. Because of that, they have the following limitations:

• Limited filtering — You have the same options for selecting records for the report in the Lookup dialog box as you do for other reports, but you have no other options for controlling the records that GovWin Capture Management includes on the report. The Options dialog boxes have only the Columns tab for selecting the data that the report displays in each row.
• Limited security — If you give a user access to a Data Export report, that user can generate a report that contains any or all of the columns available for that type of report. GovWin Capture Management does not enforce other access restrictions for these reports.
