Deltek for Professional Services 1.1.23 Release Notes
Last Updated: May 24, 2019
Welcome to the Deltek for Professional Services 1.1.23 Release Notes, which describe the new features and enhancements introduced in this release.
Contents of Release Notes
These release notes address all of the modules associated with DPS 1.1.23, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation of DPS.
The Tax Generation Backup report now includes the Expense Account column. This column displays the account number associated with the net (basis) amount of the transaction. You access this report in Accounting » Tax File Generation, in the desktop application.
The Tax Analysis report now includes the Base Account column. This column displays the account number that is associated with the net (basis) amount of the transaction. You access this report in the Reporting application under the Accounting report type.
Support for Reverse Charge Tax Code
You can now use Reverse Charge Tax Code for any type of transaction (including expense reports and purchase orders) in the mobile application, provided that the tax code is set up and enabled in Deltek for Professional Services. A Reverse Charge Tax Code calculates the Tax Amount and sums into the Total Tax Amount. The Reverse Charge Tax amount, however, does not decrease the Net Amount and Payment Amount. Only the regular tax code amount should affect the Net Amount.
For example, you have a Reverse Charge Tax Code with 10% tax and an expense sheet line with the amount of £100. The tax is calculated at £10, the net amount is £100, and the payment amount is £100.
Note: Reverse charge taxes apply for AP voucher, AP disbursement, and employee expense transactions. These taxes are commonly used in the European Union Value Added Tax system.
Defect 1110573: There were performance issues when loading hub records that included very large grid tables.
Defect 1109877: The hubs list view query included all columns, regardless of what was selected on the Selected Columns list. This resulted in slowed performance.
Defect 1105839: Sometimes, when an activity was marked as completed (the check mark was selected) and then not completed (the check mark was cleared) on the Activities tab in the Opportunities hub, the activity's notes disappeared.
Defect 1117357: When you tried to load specific Firm hub records, your request consistently took an extended period of time to be processed because of a delay in the call to retrieve the associated contacts for these records.
Defect 1088431: When a security role was set for the Firms lookup to display a particular Vendor Type, on the Application Record Access grid on the Record Access tab, attempting to use the Search option in Cash Management » AR Review resulted in an error.
Defect 1107499: When you tried to add resources to a project with multiple WBS levels, DPS continued loading the resource search results and you were unable to select resources.
Defect 1105408: When you had an expense report with expense line items, and one line item was rejected while the others were approved, if you then deleted the rejected expense line item so that you could resubmit the expense report, you were not able to resubmit it.
Defect 1101031: When hours entered in the timesheet were either longer or shorter than the Hours/Day value in the Employees hub, you received an error message even when the total hours entered in the timesheet were correct.
Defect 1096981: The Voucher Ledger report was changed to landscape orientation because columns that contained large numeric balances were wrapped.
Defect 1098902: An error occurred when previewing the Project List report with the following settings:
On the General tab of the Project List Options dialog box:
A user-defined grid was selected in the Grid Type field.
The Only List <grid type name> That Match Selection option was selected.
On the Columns tab of the Project List Options dialog box, one or more columns from the user-defined grid (selected in the Grid Type field on the General tab of the Project List Options dialog box) was selected.
On the Project Lookup dialog box, a user-defined column from the user-defined grid (selected in the Grid Type field on the General tab of the Project List Options dialog box) was used as a search criterion.
Defect 1118584: If you changed the color selected for a field on the Sorting/Grouping tab of the Options dialog box for the Resource Utlilization by Organization report, the generated report did not reflect that change.
Defect 1113111: Under certain circumstances, you could not delete a project type from the list of available project types (Settings » Labels and Lists » Lists). You received a message indicating that the project type was assigned to one or more projects, even though no such assignments existed. This problem occurred if both of the following were true:
Vantagepoint was not set up to use work breakdown structure (WBS) levels below the project (WBS1) level.
The project type that you tried to delete had previously been assigned to projects, and those assignments were subsequently changed to other project types.
Defect 1036344: If you accessed your submitted expense report and it was already approved, the Reopen (or unsubmit) button would still display.
Defect 1080082: If you use AP invoice approvals and you created an AP voucher from a purchase order that had multiple lines of cost distribution, the amounts on the voucher were not being distributed correctly among the multiple distribution lines. This caused the voucher amount to be more than the received amount.
Defect 1109739: You could not import a firm record when the firm name (Company Name) existed in the database but the firm number (Company Number) did not.
