Enhancements

Touch >> Touch Server Upgrade to Support PHP 7.2.11

The Touch Server for this version of the Deltek for Professional Services application has been upgraded to support PHP 7.2.11.

Software Issues Resolved

Hubs >> Employees

Defect 1021771:  After you made the Labor Category field on the Employment Details tab of the Employees hub a required field (via Screen Designer), when you made a change to an employee record that had a value entered in the Labor Category field, you were unable to save the employee record. You received an erroneous message telling you to enter a labor category.

Defect 1009890: If an employee has the Firm check box selected on the Overview tab of the Employees hub, you should not have been able to select the Approved for Use in Processing check box in the Available To section on the Overview tab. The check box should have been disabled.

Hubs >> Firms

Defect 1012915: In the Firms hub, a CRM-type user was able to edit and/or delete an Accounting (Billing) address when only users in the Accounting or Admin role should have those rights.

Hubs >> Opportunities

Defect 1016628: When a role was entered and saved for an opportunity record, you could not edit the role in the Firms grid in the Opportunities hub.

Defect 1014807: The Opportunities Milestone grid did not save changes to the Start/End Dates if dates were entered directly into the grid columns (without using the Edit option).

Defect 1022423: The screen went blank when you clicked the Edit button in the Opportunities hub.

Hubs >> Projects

Defect 992042: If neither the Accounting module nor the PSA module was activated, the Hours column was missing from the Team Members grid of the Team tab in the Projects hub in the browser application. In that situation, that column is supposed to be displayed and, for employees on the team, available for entering hours worked. (This problem did not exist in the desktop application.)

Defect 982356: When you used the Create Contracts from Fees utility in the desktop application to create the contract for a project, the fee amounts pulled from the Budget and Revenue tab of the Projects hub were fully distributed to the lowest work breakdown structure levels for the contract. However, in some cases, when you then made any change to the project information and tried to save, you incorrectly received an error message indicating that the contract amounts still needed to be distributed. In addition to this incorrect error, the fee amounts on the Budget and Revenue tab were doubled.

Defect 1017291: If you selected the From Opportunity option in Create Project on the New Project form and selected an opportunity that had been created in Vision and then brought into DPS, when you upgraded from Vision, the process of creating the new project from the opportunity failed.

Defect 1021823: An override billing rate specified for an employee in the applicable billing labor category table was ignored when calculating planned billing amounts. As a result, the employee had planned hours but had no planned billing amounts for those hours.

Defect 1008956: For certain projects, when you clicked Edit on the Project Structure dialog box to display the Edit Project Structure form, the form never displayed. You eventually received a timeout error.

Defect 998033: When you created a project from an opportunity and selected the Copy Plan Structure and Move Assignments check box on the New Project form, the plan structure was copied for the new project but the resources and their assignments were not copied into the project plan.

Hubs >> Units

Defect 1007595: After you selected a unit table, the values for the fields below the grid of the Unit Tables form were not displayed.

My Stuff >> Expense Report

Defect 1014926:  If the conditions listed below existed and you selected another group employee's expense report from the drop-down search list on the Expense Reports form, it did not display. You were also unable to open another employee's expense report in the Approval Center.

Defect 1020314: If an expense report had an apostrophe in its name, you could not access it from the quick search.

My Stuff >> Timesheet

Defect 1013439: If electronic signatures were required for timesheet submittals, and you submitted a timesheet and then clicked Submit more than once to confirm the electronic signature, the Electronic Signature dialog box was blank and did not display the signature text.

Defect 1016689: When trying to submit a large timesheet, you received the following error: "Error during serialization or deserialization using the JSON JavaScriptSerializer."

Defect 1014949: When you submitted a timesheet and an approval workflow error occurred during approval processing, the timesheet could not be approved or resubmitted.

Reporting

Defect 1024636: In some cases, you received a Framework Exception error when you tried to run one of the following reports for a large number of records:

Defect 1008381: When running the Marketing Campaign list report with records selected from a search, the following error message displayed: "An error has occurred during report processing..."

Defect 1008929: In some cases, when you tried to run a Labor Resource Forecast report, or a favorite based on that report, and the report retrieved a large number of records, the report ran for a long time without displaying.

Defect 1013461: Budget hours and amounts for a project did not appear on the Project Summary report, or on favorite reports based on the Project Summary, when both of the following were true:

Defect 1013493: When a Tax Analysis report was run in the Tax Currency, the amount columns in the Tax Analysis report were blank for transaction entry postings when a zero-rated tax code was in use.

Resource Management

Defect 1019653: It took too long to search for and display resources in Resource View and to expand the work breakdown levels for those resources in the grid.

Defect 1012858: In some cases, if you generated a Resource Management report that contained a field with a null or zero value and then exported that report to Excel, the resulting spreadsheet displayed   for that field, rather than displaying a blank cell or a zero. For example, this problem occurred in the Utilization Target field if an employee had no utilization target percentage assigned.

Defect 1010517: If you used a saved search on the Reporting form in Resource Management to generate a report, the next time that you displayed the Reporting form, that saved search was correctly displayed at the top of the form by default. However, the report data displayed on the form was not the data returned by that search. You had to manually reselect that saved search to get the correct search results.

Settings >> General >> Screen Designer

Defect 1008933: In Screen Designer, when you added a custom grid and you deleted a column in the grid, or revised column information before you saved the grid for the first time, the grid disappeared when you tried to save it.

Defect 1020285: When you created a numeric type user-defined field that was set to use two decimal places and its default value contained a decimal, the default value was rounded to a whole number instead of remaining a number with a decimal.

Settings >> Labels and Lists >> Lists

Defect 1017267: Vantagepoint allowed you to delete the Owner value (Code: SysOwner) from the Employee to Firm/Contact Relationship list on the Lists form (Settings » Labels and Lists » Lists). That, in turn, resulted in a "Code SysOwner does not exist" error in some situations. Because Vantagepoint requires that the list item exist, you can change the value from Owner to something else, but you should not be able to delete it.

Settings >> Security >> Roles

Defect 1017147: You received a "Record already exists and cannot be added" error when you did the following: You created a new security role by copying an existing security role. You then tried to add favorite reports for the new role on the Access Rights tab of the Roles form without first saving the new role and exiting Role Security.

Settings >> Time >> Options

Defect 1016143: In the Display on Time Entry section of the Options form, when you selected None in the Labor Code field, the labor code columns (Labor Code Method, Single Labor Code, and Labor Code Query) did not display in Settings » Time » Time Categories as they should have. The erroneous time categories could cause errors in My Stuff » Timesheets.

Settings >> Workflow >> Scheduled Workflow

Defect 1008883: This issue occured if you set up a scheduled workflow for a user-defined hub that updated a date field with the date from another date field. If the date was being retreved from a date field that was blank, instead of pupulating the other field with Blank/None, it populated the field with 1/1/1900.

Touch >> Touch CRM

Defect 1015753: If you tapped the Privacy Policy field on the Settings screen, returned to the mobile application, and logged out, you would not be able to log on again using your correct PIN. As a workaround, you would need to tap the Forget Me On This Device button on Settings and log on. This defect affected mobile application users who were using Deltek CRM for Professional Services installed on iOS devices only.

Touch >> Touch Time and Expense

Defect 1015705: If you tapped the Privacy Policy field on the Settings screen and tried to return to the mobile application, you would get stuck on the loading screen. The same error would occur when you locked and then unlocked your device with the mobile application open. This defect affected mobile application users who were using Deltek Time & Expense for Professional Services installed on iOS or Android devices.

User-Defined Hubs

Defect 1016626: A workflow error was not displayed correctly when you could not save a record in a user-defined hub. Instead, you received a generic error message about being unable to save.

Utilities >> Data Imports

Defect 990983: If CRM (not CRM Plus) is your only activated DPS module, the data tables related to the Projects hub were not listed for selection in the Table Description field of the Import Utility form (Utilities » Utilities » Data Import in the desktop application), so you were unable to import project data.
