These release notes address all of the modules associated with DPS 1.1.15, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation of DPS.
Illinois 2018 Tax Update
These are the changes for Illinois:
The personal exemption increases from $2,000 to $2,225.
The withholding tables and formula were updated to show the new personal exemption value. The withholding tables are retroactive to January 1, 2018. Employers are to apply the new value, which may result in small changes to employees’ withholding amounts.
Maryland 2018 Tax Update
Effective July 1, 2018, the maximum standard deduction for Maryland increases from $2,000 to $2,250. For more information, see http://forms.marylandtaxes.gov/current_forms/Withholding_Guide.pdf.
The Venezuelan Bolivar Soberano currency is now supported, with the currency code VES.
Defect 929225: When you disposed of equipment that was added using the History Loading utility, the Journal Entry Posting Log for disposed equipment had debit and credit amounts that did not match in the General Ledger Posting Summary section. However, the amounts did match in the detail section of the log. There was no tolerance for this discrepancy on the Tolerance report.
Defect 989173: You received the following error when you tried to clear the Consolidate All Posting check box on the Sub-Level Terms tab in Billing Terms: "Column named TaxCode1 not found."
Defect 994116: In Interactive Billing you received a "String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated" error when you previewed an invoice if the following applied:
Units had been entered as an expense with no billing rate, and the units displayed on the Expense tab in Interactive Billing.
The unit table for the units had more than 20 characters in its name.
In Interactive Billing, you changed the billing status of the unit transaction for the invoice, such as changing it from Bill to Write-off.
Defect 992593: This issue occurred when you created a new AP invoice approval record using a purchase order number that was previoulsy used for another AP invoice approval record. In Cash Management » AP Invoice Approvals, the purchase order number in the Purchase Order field on the General tab for the first AP invoice approval record was removed and remained blank.
Defect 986021: When you selected a credit card statement and then selected Import » Import Charges HIstory, the Date field on the Import Charges History dialog box was blank.
Defect 993344: Copying and pasting a value from an Excel spreadsheet into a hub field resulted in an image of the pasted value being uploaded in the Files grid on the Files & Links tab.
Defect 987150: If the Type column in the Firms grid on the Team tab of the Opportunity hub was hidden using Screen Designer, and you added a firm that was set up both as a Client type and as a Vendor type firm, the application failed to assign a default firm type for the team assignment. As a result, you incorrectly received an error message when you selected a role for the firm. The error indicated that the role you selected did not exist.
Defect 992734: If a billing labor category table contained multiple rates for the same labor category but with different effective dates, planned billing amounts based on that labor category were in some cases calculated incorrectly on the Labor tab of the Projects hub in Plan mode.
Defect 1008876: When you created a project using a project template with a charge type other than Regular, the new project was incorrectly created with a Regular charge type instead of the charge type from the template.
Defect 989401: If a user's security role had access to Project Review, Billing Terms, Invoice Review, or Accounts Receivable Reporting, but provided read-only access to the Projects hub, the options to access those applications from the Projects hub (by clicking Other Actions » Go To » Project Review, for example) were not available.
Defect 987174: DPS incorrectly allowed the deletion of a project, phase, or task that was assigned to a credit card on the Credit Card form (Settings » Advanced Accounting » Credit Cards in the desktop application). If such a deletion occurred, you received an error when you tried to post transactions involving that credit card.
Defect 989742: In the Absence Requests approval workflow, if the Approval » Notify on Approved action included the [AbsenceRequests.Comments] field in the subject of the Email Configuration form, you received an error when approving absence requests.
Defect 997854: If your expense report approval setup included both expense reports and expense lines on sequential steps and you attempted to approve an expense report with a large number of lines, only the first 38 rows completed and any additional rows remained in a waiting state.
Defect 985826: If you created expense reports that included entries in the Category field for some rows but not others, you received an error when you saved the expense report.
Defect 1007744: When the Detailed or Summary Expense Report was printed after the expense report was saved, and the Include Attached Receipts option was selected for the Expense Report Setting, the first page of the printed report was blank.
Defect 992612: You were not able to approve submitted timesheets if they contained lines with no hours entered.
Defect 986606: Timesheet fields containing comments did not display in gray, so you had to click each field to see if there were comments attached.
Defect 991155: When payroll was run, the withholdings were not calculated correctly. The issue occurred when an employee started with one set of withholdings (such as FICA Social Security Tax and FICA Medicare Tax), the payroll for that employee was posted, and then multiple codes of type FICA-HI or FICA-OASDI were added.
Defect 987186: If inconsistent capitalization was used for an employee ID when making resource assignments, you received an error ("An item with the same key has already been added") if that employee was included when you generated the Labor Resource Planned and Actuals report. For example, this would occur if some resource assignments for an employee had DSMITH as the employee ID and others had DSmith.
Defect 991705: In some cases, favorite reports based on the Project Earnings report were not generated successfully. Eventually, the process timed out without producing a report.
Defect 991579: If an employee was associated with two companies, and hours were entered for that employee on a timesheet for each company, and the timesheet periods for the two companies ended on the same date, the unposted hours shown on the Project Detail report for the employee for each company were double the number of hours that were entered on the timesheets.
Defect 998446: In some cases, when you tried to run a resource planning report, or a favorite report based on a planning report that retrieved a large number of records, the report ran for a long time and eventually timed out or failed.
Defect 993259: Resource management reports correctly showed total job-to-date (JTD) hours for an assignment row, but did not display JTD hours for individual calendar period columns in the Actuals row for that assignment.
Defect 989681: If you entered a list value for the Employee Role list on the Lists form (Settings » Labels and Lists » Lists), and either that list value matched an existing value in the list or the list already contained other duplicate values, you received an error message ("Unique values must be entered"). You should not have received that error. While the code for each list item must be unique, duplicate list item values are allowed.
Defect 953203: When a field that had a system label was customized in the Screen Designer (for example, the field was moved or its label position was changed), if you then changed the system label, the change was not reflected in the field label.
Defect 1007289: If the Contact Information field group was required in the Screen Designer in Deltek for Professional Services, and you added or edited any contact records in the mobile app, the error message "Contacts.ContactInformation is required," would display and you would not have any way to supply the value.
Defect 1007290: User-defined fields (UDFs) that were previously set to required and later set to not be required in Deltek for Professional Services became required in the mobile app. This affected customers who were using a CRM-only database or those who were licensed to use CRM but not Accounting.
Defect 990241: When you selected the Client ID field or Client Secret field contents by double-clicking, the action sometimes did not select special characters at the beginning and end of the contents. It was hard to notice this, because the field and font size were small. When you copied the selected contents into another location, the copy was incomplete. The field and font size have been increased to help make the contents easier to distinguish.
Defect 987734: In Utilities » Key Conversions » Tasks, when you selected a phase with no associated tasks and converted it, the conversion process continued when it should not have. This created duplicate records for the selected project in the task conversion utility and therefore caused errors when the project was viewed in the Projects hub.
