The withholding formula has been updated.
This applies if you have the Deltek Flex Cloud offering, which allows users to connect to your DPS transaction database using ODBC.
DPS now uses Hybrid Data Pipeline (HDP) instead of DataDirect ODBC for ODBC connectivity. With this change, you now see a new ODBC Management section in the Weblink utility that will be maintained by Deltek Cloud Operations. Do not delete or change the entries in this section. These entries allow you to give a user access to the DPS database via ODBC connectivity.
For users who had ODBC connectivity before the switch to HDP, you must re-enable cloud ODBC connectivity for them in Settings » Security » Users. In the Cloud ODBC Settings section of the Users form, select the Enable Cloud ODBC Connectivity check box and enter an email and password.
When cloud ODBC connectivity is enabled for a user, the following apply:
If you delete the user in Settings » Security » Users, the ODBC connectivity is automatically disabled for the user.
If you select the Disable Login check box on the Users form in Settings » Security » Users (so the user cannot log in to DPS), this does not disable ODBC access for the user. To prevent the user from accessing DPS via ODBC connectivity, you must also clear the Enable Cloud ODBC Connectivity check box on the Users form or delete the user completely in Users Settings.
Installing the Add-in
When you install the Microsoft Outlook add-in for DPS, you must now use the file name that is identified for the Microsoft Outlook add-in manifest URL on the System tab of the DPS About dialog box. To access the About dialog box in DPS, click the help ? icon on the main toolbar of any screen and then select About.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS if you curently have the Microsoft Outlook add-in installed: After the 1.1.10 maintenance release is installed on your system, you must uninstall the Microsoft Outlook add-in on users' machines, and then reinstall it using the file name for the Microsoft Outlook add-in manifest URL that displays on the System tab of the DPS About dialog box. See the following help topic for installation instructions: Installing the Outlook Add-in for DPS. You enter the URL for the add-in's manifest file in step 4 of the instructions.
New Resource Management video: You can now access a video that describes how to use Resource Management to add and maintain resource assignments, construct opportunity plans, and review plans or resource assignments using a report format. This video explores the resource and project views as well as reporting, and provides an overview of the opportunity plan structure. In the How-To Videos section of the online help, click the Resource Management link in the "General Videos" topic.
Defect 936416: You experienced problems creating activities in DPS in the following scenario:
In Screen Designer, you created a user-defined hub with an Activities tab and grid. This automatically created a field for the user-defined hub in the Activities hub.
In the Activities hub, you moved the field that was created for the user-defined hub to a different tab.
You deleted the user-defined hub. The field for the user-defined hub in the Activities hub should have been automatically deleted, but it was not.
Defect 928356: When you searched for a project in Interactive Billing, the search was slow if a large number of supporting documents for transactions was stored in the DPS database.
Defect 928783: When you processed EFT payments for vendors, the addenda record (record 7) position 88–94 in the EFT file was mistakenly populated with the batch number. It should have been populated with the entry detail sequence number, which is the same as the entry detail record (record 6) position 88–94.
Defect 931175: Some hubs have more tabs than can be displayed at one time. In that case, left and right arrow icons are available to scroll other tabs into view. However, if you accessed DPS using the Safari browser, you could scroll using the right arrow but you could not scroll back. Nothing happened when you clicked the left arrow.
Defect 930383: When an activity was created on the Activities tab in the Opportunities hub, you could not change the Attendee field to assign a different employee as the Owner of the activity.
Defect 931055: When a new contact record was created in the Contacts hub and related activities were added on the Activities tab, the date of the last activity only included touchpoint activities. Now, the Last Activity date field on the Contacts Summary Pane updates for all types of activities.
Defect 929211: On the Employment Details tab in the Employees hub, you were allowed to enter numbers with two decimal places in the Utilization Target or Target Ratio fields. However, when you saved the record, the numbers in those fields were rounded to the nearest whole number. Now those fields retain the two decimal places when you save a record.
Defect 922743: The Job Title field on the Summary pane in the Employees hub was changed to Title.
Defect 937527: This applies if you have multiple companies in DPS. You were unable to delete an absence accrual from the grid on the Accounting tab in the following scenario:
You added absence accruals to an employee record.
You associated the employee with another company, added the same absence accruals to the employee record for the second company, and saved the employee record.
You were unable to delete an absence accrual for the employee record for the second company. You received a "Benefit Accrual Code <xxx> is in use and cannot be deleted." message.
Defect 929206: On the Accounting tab in the Employees hub, when you tried to delete a row in the Direct Deposit grid, you received the following error: "Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Override', table 'DATABASENAME.dbo.EMDirectDeposit."'
Defect 928760: When you created a new opportunity record and entered values for the Project Manager and Principal in Charge, if you then changed those fields before saving the record, the fields displayed as blank after completing the save.
Defect 935985: You should have been able to add milestones on the Activities tab without estimated start and estimated completion dates.
Defect 935818: If your Opportunities hub contains a custom grid with columns mapped to custom grid columns in the Projects hub, and you closed an opportunity and selected the Create Project from Opportunity check box, the project creation process was launched correctly, but you were unable to save the new project.
Defect 935997: When you filtered the list of projects in List View in the Projects hub using a column filter, the results did not match the filter that you specified.
Defect 935988: In Microsoft Outlook, when you opened an email and clicked the Open Deltek option, if your DPS security role did not give you access to DPS Security » Users, you received the following error: "You do not have access."
Defect 936340: When you added a DPS activity through Microsoft Outlook, the text in the body of the email message did not get added to the activity notes if the email message was part of an email thread.
Defect 931163: When you selected a timesheet from the Approval Center, DPS either opened the timesheet from the wrong period or generated a "No Timesheet to View Error."
Defect 928631: In an expense report, if you selected a secondary credit card that was not the first on the list and then saved the report, the expense row reverted to the first secondary card on the list.
Defect 909967: When an expense line item was inserted in the expense report of another employee, an error occurred when the expense report was saved.
Defect 930486: If you created and submitted a timesheet containing units but no hours and then attempted to post it from the Timesheets tab of the Transaction Posting form (Transaction Center> Transaction Posting), you received the following error message: "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'unControlPK'."
Defect 930509: The Payroll calculation for ContributionDue (UITaxableWage x ContributionRate) was including 6 decimals instead of rounding to 2 decimals.
Defect 927701: You experienced problems when setting auto-numbering in the following scenario:
Select the Numbering tab on the General System Settings form (Settings > General> General System in the desktop application).
In the Firm row, select Expression from the Auto Number Source drop-down list and then click ... in the Auto Number Format field.
On the Expression Configuration dialog box, click Insert.
Select Clendor.Name from the Item field, set Length Used in Number to 3, and select the Reset Sequence check box.
Click OK to return to the Numbering tab and click Save. You receive the following error:"The multi-part identifier "Clendor.Name" could not be bound."
Defect 931712: If you set up rates on the Billing Labor Code Rates form (Settings > Rate Tables > Billing Labor Code) for the same labor code mask in more than one rate table, and not all of those labor code masks had the same description, you received an "Ambiguous results found" error if you selected a generic resource on the Generic Resources form (Settings > Resource Planning > Generic Resources) and that generic resource was assigned one of those labor codes.
Defect 931699: If you set up rates on the Billing Labor Code Rates form (Settings > Rate Tables > Billing Labor Code) for the same labor code mask in more than one rate table, and not all of those labor code masks had the same description, each unique combination of mask and description should have been available for selection in the Labor Code field on the Generic Resources form (Settings > Resource Planning > Generic Resources), but some were not.
Defect 914399: In Deltek Touch for Professional Services, if you entered an amount in an expense sheet line for an expense report with another currency, and there was no direct conversion from the expense report currency to the default currency, the displayed amount in Touch would not be consistent with that of Deltek Professional Services. It would only convert the amount from the expense report currency to the triangulation currency.
Defect 938738: If you tried to use the Data Import utility in the desktop application (Utilities > Utilities > Data Import) to run a Projects - Firms data import twice, you received a "Record already exists and cannot be added" error the second time. For example, this occurred if you reran the import after correcting data errors from your first attempt.
Defect 931125: When importing opportunities using the Imports utility in the browser (Utilities > Imports & Exports > Imports), you were unable to import the estimated start date and estimated completion date for opportunities because those DPS fields were not available for import mapping. (Those dates display as milestones on the Activities tab of the Opportunities hub.) Est. Compl. Date and Est. Start Date fields are now available when you map data for the Opportunities import.
Defect 933700: When importing opportunities using the Imports utility in the browser (Utilities > Imports & Exports > Imports), you were unable to import closed reasons because the Closed Reason field in DPS was not available for import mapping. That field is now available when you map data for the Opportunities import.
Defect 929908: When creating an approval workflow for AP Invoice Approvals, the step/vallidate error condition that allowed you to check when a Purchase Order was associated with the AP invoice was removed.
Defect 928277: When using the Past Due Notification action for an Approval workflow, duplicate past due email notifications were sent if multiple companies had similar approvals set up on the same step for expense reports or timesheets.
