Settings and Project Review
Options in both Labor Options Settings and Security Settings affect the data that you are allowed to see in Project Review.
Labor Options Settings
By default, the amounts displayed on the Project Review form are calculated at cost rates. Your system administrator uses the following options in Labor Options Settings (
) to determine whether you can also see amounts calculated at billing rates or burdened rates:- Enable Reporting at Billing Rates: If you use the Billing application, you can review labor and expense amounts at billing rates instead of cost rates. When you look at billing rates, all labor and expense amounts are the amounts that will be billed to the client. With cost rates, you present the planned costs of a project including labor, direct and reimbursable expenses, and overhead. If this option is enabled, you can see amounts presented at billing rates on the Project Review form. If this option is not enabled, you cannot see billing rates.
- Enable Reporting at Burdened Rates: You can see project-related amounts presented using burdened rates, which effectively combine actual labor cost and overhead into a single detail line. If this option is enabled, you can see burdened and billed amounts on the Project Review form and the actual labor cost amounts include overhead. If this option is not enabled, you cannot see burdened rates.
- Use Billing Currency, Not Project Currency: If your enterprise uses multiple currencies, your enterprise may decide to report project amounts in the billing currency, rather than the project currency. For example, select this option to make it easier to match invoice amounts to corresponding amounts on project reports. To see project amounts in the billing currency on the Project Review form, select this option and then select Enable Reporting at Billing Rates.
Security Settings
Your system administrator uses the following options on the Accounting tab of Security Roles Settings (
) to control whether or not you (and other members of your security role) can access data in Project Review:- Labor Cost Rates/Amounts: This option determines your access to labor cost rates and amounts.
- Labor Burden Rates/Amounts: This option controls your ability to see burdened rates (labor cost + overhead).
See your system administrator if you have questions.
