Contents of the Contact Information Pane in Microsoft Outlook

Use the fields and options in this pane to review contact information from DPS and add and search for records in DPS.

Toolbar

Field Description
Click this icon to close the Contact Information pane.
Click this icon to open the DPS email recipient pane and view a list of all the recipients in the email. When you click a contact in the list that is entered as a contact in DPS, the contact displays in the DPS contact information pane. You can view and update the contact's information in this pane. For email recipients who are not entered as contacts in DPS, you can add them as contacts in DPS as needed.
Click this icon to open the DPS search pane, and search for DPS contact, firm, project, and opportunity records that are entered in DPS.

When you click a contact in the search results list, the contact displays in the contact information pane. View or update the contact's information that is entered in DPS from this pane.

When you click a firm, project, or opportunity in the search results list, the record in the DPS hub opens in a separate window.

Click this icon to open the DPS Account Information pane where you can view or change the settings that connect Outlook with your DPS database.

Contact Name Header

Field Description
Contact Image If an image was added for a contact in the Contacts hub in DPS, it displays here.
Contact Name The contact's name from the Contacts hub displays.
Click this Open Record in Deltek icon to open the contact's record in the Contacts hub in a separate window.

Contact Information Section

This section includes the following information for the contact from the Contacts hub:

  • Title
  • Firm
  • Phone numbers
  • Email address
  • Qualified status

Recent Activities Section

This section lists the five most recent activities for the contact. The list is based on the an activity's start date. Click an activity in the list to open the activity record in the Activities hub in a separate window. From here, you can view or update the activity or create a new activity.

View All Click this option to open the Activities tab in the Contacts hub for the contact in a separate window. View all the activities that are associated with the contact. You can add an activity as needed.
+ Add Activity Click this option to open the Activities hub in DPS in a separate window, and add a new activity.

The Activity form in the hub prefills with information from the Outlook email to create the activity. For example, the email subject prefills for the activity's name. The To and CC recipients from the email are added as attendees for the activity. Review the prefilled information and change it as needed.

After you complete the information for the activity and save it, the activity displays in the Recent Activities section in the Contact Information pane in Outlook. It also displays on the Activities tab in the Contacts hub for each activity attendee.

Active Opportunities Section

This sections lists up to five active opportunities for the contact. The list is based on an opportunity's open date. Click an opportunity in the list to open the opportunity record in the Opportunities hub in a separate window. From here, you can view or update the opportunity or create a new opportunity.

View All Click this option to open the Associations tab in the Contacts hub in a separate window, and view all the opportunities (active and inactive) that are associated with the contact. You can also associate other opportunities with the contact.
+ Add Opportunity Click this option to open the Opportunities hub in DPS in a separate window, and add a new opportunity.

The Opportunities form prefills with some information from the Outlook email. Review the prefilled information and change it as needed.

After you complete the information for the opportunity and save it, the opportunity displays in the Active Opportunities section in the Contact Information pane in Outlook. It also displays on the Associations tab in the Contacts hub for the contact.

Project History Section

This section lists up to five projects (active or not active) that are associated with the contact. The list is based on the date that the project was created. Click a project in the list to open the project record in the Projects hub in a separate window. From here, you can view or update the project or create a new project.

View All Click this option to open the Associations tab in the Contacts hub in a separate window. View all the projects that are associated with the contact in the Project grid. You can also associate other projects with the contact.

Active Marketing Campaigns Section

This section lists up to five marketing campaigns that are associated with the contact. The list is based on a marketing campaign's launch date. Click a marketing campaign in the list to open the marketing campaign record in the Marketing Campaigns hub in a separate window. From here, you can view or update the marketing campaign or create a new marketing campaign.
