Use the Export Planning Data dialog box to quickly and efficiently export
DPS planning information to .CSV (comma-separated values) files. The planning information can include labor, expense,
employee, and
consultant information.

Field | Description |
Search filter

Use the Search filter field to select standard or saved searches that contain
project planning data you want to export.

Click
to select either a standard or a saved search from the drop-down list. In addition, if you want to modify a saved search, click
to display the Edit Custom Search dialog box, or click
Custom to create an new search.

Projects
|
Click
to scroll through the list of available standard or saved searches. Select one or more
projects from which you want to export data to a .CSV file.
|
Timescale
|
Click
to select a time scale (Days, Weeks, Months) to export the appropriate data set. For example, you may want to export
labor assignments by days or rolled up into weeks or months. This option is available only if you select the
Labor Assignments check box.

Labor
Assignments
|
Click this check box to export all
labor
assignment data for the selected project(s). A list of all
labor assignment data fields available for export are described in the
Labor Assignment Data Columns section.

When you select the
Labor Assignments option, the Timescale option appears.

Next
|
Click this button to display the data column selection list for each data set that you selected (data sets can include
labor assignments and/or expenses and
consultants).

Expense and
Consultants
|
Click this check box to export all expenses and
consultant data for the selected
project(s). A list of all expense and
consultant data fields available for export are described in the Expense and
Consultants Data Columns section.

Data column selection list
|
Use this dialog to select any number of data columns you want included in the export for each data set option. Note that the selection lists that appear depend upon which data set options (labor assignments and/or expenses and
consultants) you selected.
Click the
Include headings check box to add column headings for all the data columns on the .CSV file. Click the check box for each data column you want to include in the export.

Project counter

At the bottom left of the data column selection list is a
project counter that indicates how many
projects are included in the export.

Export
|
Click this button to run the export utility to export
Labor Assignment data and Expense and
Consultants data.
