Toolbar Options
After you enter text in the Edit Text dialog box, highlight the text and use the toolbar options to format the text as needed. Because many of the toolbar options follow the conventional Windows formats, descriptions for them are not provided in this help topic. Refer to the list below for those options that are specific to the
Vantagepoint application.

| Font
|
To modify the font for existing text, highlight the text, click the
Font down arrow, and select the font to apply.
You can also place your cursor in a blank spot in the Edit Text dialog box, click the
Font down arrow, and select a font. The font that you select is applied to the text that you type after the cursor.
When you merge a
Vantagepoint proposal, the Text Editor's font does not apply to the data when it is merged. The font type and size for a proposal are determined by the merge code on the merge template.

| Google Font
|
To access additional fonts,
Vantagepoint includes a Google Font toolbar button that allows you to find and select fonts from Google's interactive font directory.
Click
Google Font to select from the fonts that have been installed for
Vantagepoint. To add more font options, select
Edit Font List at the bottom of the list. This opens the Google Fonts dialog box where you can search for a font, as well as add and remove fonts for the
Vantagepoint application.
If you want to view more detailed information for each font on the list, click the
More Info link next to a font to open the font in Google.

| Size
|
To modify the size of existing text, highlight the text, click the
Size down arrow, and select the size to apply.

Size down arrow, and select a size. The size that you select is applied to the text that you type after the cursor.

| Styles

Select a font style to format all text in one style.

Paste as Plain Text
|
To paste the text as plain text without any formatting into your document, place the cursor where you want the text to display and click
.

| Link
|
Click [ICON] Link to insert a link to a file from the proposal. This may include links to URLs, FTP sites, email addresses, newsgroups, and files and graphics. When you add a file or graphic link,
Vantagepoint stores the link so that you can copy and paste it into the file explorer. The file remains on your computer or network.

| Image
|
Click Image to open the browse dialog box and select an image to insert into the proposal. You can upload an image (for example, a logo or a contact photograph) to
Vantagepoint so that you can assign it to a proposal, or select an image from the library of images supplied with
Vantagepoint. You can also remove an existing image. Supported image file types are .GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, and .BMP.

| Insert Fields
|
When you insert text into a
Vantagepoint hub record on a proposal, the Insert Fields option displays. Click
Insert Fields to open the Insert Fields dialog box to select one or more fields from the hub records to add to the proposal.
Vantagepoint populates the proposals form with the record information.
