Define Document Properties
Use this dialog box to define the properties for the proposal. These are the default properties that apply to all pages within the proposal and are defaulted from your user preferences. The only properties that do not apply are those where individual page properties were established (for pages requiring different formatting). The document properties are defaulted from your user preferences.
To define document properties:
- In the Navigation pane, go to and open the desired proposal.
- On the Settings pane, select Properties.
- Click Document Properties.
- Select the size of the pages. For example, Letter, Legal, and so on. You can enter custom page sizes as well.
- Select the page orientation.
-
Specify the top, bottom, left, and right margins.
If your unit of measure is inches, use decimals for fractions of an inch (for example, 0.75 or 1.20).
- Select the unit of measure, inches or millimeters, to use for the measurement fields on Document Properties and Page Properties settings. If you know the hex number for the background color, enter it in this field. Otherwise, click in this field to open the custom color palette. Move the slider to the desired color on the palette and then use the vertical slider to specify the gradient of the desired color.
- Specify the opacity for the background color. The lower the percentage, the lighter the color. For example, if the background color is set to royal blue and the opacity is 50%, the color will be a lighter shade of royal blue than if it were set to 100%.
- On the Actions bar, click Save. The properties are applied to the active page only. Open each page individually to establish different properties for the remaining pages.
