Use this dialog box to define the date and time formats.
Format Options
If you select a column that is date or time, you can specify the format for that column.

Select one of the following date options:
- Short Date: By default, this option displays the month, day, and year with the month expressed as a number. The month, day, and year are separated by the date separator in the Date Options group box (10/29/2014, for example) or your regional settings. The order of the elements of the date is determined by the Date Order field (month/day/year or day/month/year, for example).

Medium Date: By default, this option displays the month, day, and year with the month spelled out. You set the sequence of the date elements in the Date Order field (October 29, 2014, for example). The separators between the elements are always controlled by your regional settings.
- Long Date: By default, this option displays the day of the week spelled out first, then the other date elements in the order of the Date Order field using the separators in the user's regional settings (Monday, October 29th, 2014, for example).

Short Date and Time: This option displays the Short Date plus a space and the time (10/28/2014 11:30:21, for example).
- Time - This option displays the time only.

Select the option for applying the date and time:
- All: Applies to all columns.
- This column only: Only applies to the active column.

| Decimal Places
|
Decimal place options are the numbers 0 through 9. The number selected controls how many decimal places are displayed for the number. For example, if you selected 2, then one thousand would be displayed as 1000.00.

| Digit Grouping
|
Select how the numbers are grouped. The digit grouping options are:
- 123,456,789: The number is always grouped by three digits.
- 12,34,56,789: The last grouping has three digits, but all others have two.
- 123456789: There is no digit grouping.

| Negative Number
|
Negative number options in this drop-down list are:
- Parentheses: The number is surrounded by parentheses (1,000, for example).
- Sign on Front: The negative sign displays before the number (-1,000, for example).
- Sign on Back: The negative sign displays after the number (1,000-, for example).

| Zero Number
|
Specify how you want to indicate zero values:
- 0 :Vantagepoint displays 0.
- - :Vantagepoint displays a short dash.
- Do not display:
Vantagepoint leaves the space blank.

|
Click this to display the record with all placeholders inserted. Placeholders displaying in red are from the hub and placeholders in blue are from a grid. Each grid will have its own section of placeholders.
