Insert an Image into a Hub Record on a Proposal

As you build a proposal that includes hub records, the Add Record dialog box gives you the option to insert images into the hub records that are included on the proposal. You can also drag additional images onto records after initially creating them.

This option displays if your enterprise uses CRM Plus.

To insert an image into a hub record on a proposal:

1. In the Navigation pane, go to Custom Proposals > Proposals and create a new proposal or open an existing proposal.
2. Drag the Record element to the desired location on the proposal. The Add Record dialog box displays.
3. Select the hub from which you want to add the records.
4. Choose a record from the selected hub to add to the proposal. Click the drop-down list to continue to add records, one by one, to the proposal.
5. Specify the number of images that you want to add to each hub record that is included on the proposal. For example, if there are three hub records and you enter 4 as the number of images, each hub record will include four image placeholders (totaling 12 images on the proposal).
6. Click Add to add the records to the proposal. Vantagepoint inserts each record into the proposal and the image placeholders into each record.
7. Drag the Image placeholders to the spaces on the proposal records where you want them to display. You can also drag the borders to resize the image.
8. Click each Image placeholder to open the Choose Image dialog and select an image. The image file must be one of the following formats: GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, and .BMP.
9. Repeat this process for each image that is included in every proposal record.
10. Click Save Record Layout as Draft to save the records layout as a draft. Saving drafts allows you to continue editing the record layout as a group as opposed to making edits individually. Click Finalize Records if you are done with the layout. At that point, the records are no longer connected to the records in the hub and you can make changes to them for this individual proposal only. Note that once records are finalized, any changes to the records in the hub will no longer update the proposal.
