Save a Dashboard for Other Users
If you have the appropriate rights, you can copy the layout and data currently available on your Dashboard and use it to overwrite another user's Dashboard with the same layout and data.
Your ability to save Dashboards for other users depends on your security role. Sometimes, security rights differ between the user overwriting a Dashboard and the user whose Dashboard is being overwritten. In such cases, the Dashboard layout reflects the security rights of the user whose Dashboard is being overwritten.
Record-level security is applied both when overwriting another user's Dashboard, and at all times when dashparts are loaded. Therefore, users do not see records in dashparts to which their roles do not have rights, based on record-level security.
DPS does not copy Global or Role-based Web dashparts, Alerts, or Reports.
