Labor Tab of Opportunities Service Estimates Mode
Use the Labor tab to enter labor-related details for the estimate.

This tab is available if your firm purchased the DPS CRM Professional application and the Enable Service Estimate option is selected on the Service Estimate tab in
.Much of the information for DPS is entered and displayed in grids on various forms. For information about using grids, see Working with Grids.
Field | Description |

+Add Labor | Click this option to enter a new labor row on the grid. |
Description | Enter a description for the labor category. |
Generic Resources | Select the generic resource for a given row in the labor estimate. |
Planned Hours | Enter the planned hours for the labor category. This should be the number of hours that you estimate as necessary to complete work on the element. |
Cost Rate | Cost rates represent your company's cost to produce a service. The default cost rate displayed in this field is taken from the cost table referenced in the Cost field. DPS recalculates this rate if you override this default. |
Planned Cost | This field displays the planned cost amount for the current labor category. To calculate the planned cost amount, DPS multiplies the planned hours by the cost rate for the current line item. |
Billing Rate | Billing rates represent what the client will pay for the services your firm provides. The default billing rate displayed in this field is taken from the billing table referenced in the Billing field. DPS recalculates this rate if you override this default. |
Planned Bill | This field displays the planned billing amount for the current labor category. To calculate the planned billing amount, DPS multiplies the planned hours by the billing rate for the current line item. |
Click this icon to filter the grid contents based on column values. For information about how the filter works, see Filter the Grid Results. |
