View the Upcoming Generic Assignments Dashpart

Use the Upcoming Generic Assignments dashpart to see upcoming generic assignments that you need to assign to specific resources. This table dashpart displays on a separate dashboard tab that lists the resources currently available for a project. Record-level security is applied when dashparts are loaded.

You must have access to the Resource Planning application in order to use this dashpart. Your administrator designs the dashparts and dashboards, arranges them on the hub form or tab, and assigns user role(s). In this way, you can access any dashpart without affecting other dashparts, and see only those records to which you have access, based on your record-level security.

To view information on the upcoming generic assignments dashpart:

1. In the Navigation pane, select My Stuff > Dashboards.
2. On the Dashboard form, open a dashboard with an Upcoming Generic Assignments dashpart.
3. In the Upcoming Generic Assignments dashpart, find the Generic Resource/Level column and click to expand the generic resource record. The records of the named employees or firms assigned to the resource are displayed.
4. Click the generic resource to view additional information (such as, labor category and status).
5. On the named resource record level, click the employee or firm to display additional information, such as contract start and end dates, project manager, client, and status.
6. Click More... to open the named resource record in Project View, where you can modify the assignments as needed.
