Modify Employee Work Schedule Properties (Supervisors)

Employee work schedules define workdays, non-workdays, off days, holidays, and vacations. If you are a supervisor, use the Employee Work Schedule screen to modify work schedule properties for your employees.

To modify work schedule properties, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Time menu, click Schedule > Employee Work Schedule to display the Employee Work Schedule screen.
  2. Click to select the employee or employees for whom you want to modify work schedules.

    If you selected multiple employees and you plan to edit properties for a weekday, click the employee name to switch to the single-employee view. In the multiple-employee view, you can only modify properties for a specific date.

  3. In the calendar, select the desired month. To change the month, choose one of the following actions in the calendar header:
  4. Click the arrows to page through to the desired month.
  5. Click the month name to open the Select a Date dialog box, where you can select the month from a drop-down list. Click any date on the calendar to close the dialog box.
  6. Depending on whether you are in single- or multiple-employee view, choose one of the following actions:
  7. In single-employee view, choose either a single date on the calendar, or select the day heading to modify properties for a particular day of the week (Sat, for example) for the current week and future weeks, and then click Edit Date/Day of Week Properties.
  8. In multi-employee view, select the employee row and select the date you want to modify, and then click Edit Date Properties.
  9. Modify the desired fields, and when you are finished, choose one of the following actions:
    Option Description
    Update Select this option to save your changes and close the dialog box.
    Reset Select this option to remove the employee-specific properties currently displayed. The properties from the next available level take effect and are displayed in the dialog box. Those property levels, in the order in which they take effect, are employee date, company date, employee day of week, and company day of week.
    Cancel Select this option to discard your changes and close the dialog box.
