Profit Analytics: Case Studies

The following case studies illustrate some of the ways you can use Profit Analytics:

Set the Chart Type to Amount and Year-to-Date (YTD). On User Options, set the Budget Type to Baseline and the Profit Type to Profit.
View the profit trends for all divisions on the Profit Amount vs. Baseline chart.

There are certain months where the profit amount falls below the baseline. To determine which divisions are responsible, use the Profit by Org Hierarchy to drill-down and select the specific organizations you wish to view. You can continue selecting organizations to the lowest level that your security access rights allow.
It is necessary to alert the divisional managers of the low performing projects. You decide to email a snapshot of the analytic to the vice president.
