Reorg Selection (Employee Analytics)

Purpose

Users have the option to analyze data based on your firm’s standard organization structure or based on a reorganization that they select on the User Options tab in Costpoint Analytics – Employee.

Use the Reorg list under Reorg Selection to select the reorganizations from Costpoint that you want to make available to users for selection in Costpoint Analytics – Employee.

These settings apply only to the detailed Labor Utilization Analytics in Costpoint Analytics – Employee.

Project Analytics and Summary Analytics

You make these selections separately in Costpoint Analytics – Project Configuration for the detailed project analytics and the summary analytics. While you could select a different set of reorganizations for Costpoint Analytics – Employee than you do for Costpoint Analytics – Project and Costpoint Analytics – Summary, Deltek recommends that you keep them the same.

Preparation

Review the reorganizations currently set up in Costpoint and determine which of them you want to make available in Costpoint Analytics. For example, some reorganizations may be out of date or not appropriate for those who will be using Costpoint Analytics. To limit the list of available reorganizations to those that are truly useful, do not load such reorganizations into Costpoint Analytics.

If the Reorgs list is empty or does not include one or more of the reorganizations that you want to make available in Costpoint Analytics, click the Update from Costpoint or Previous Configuration button to import the current list of reorganizations from Costpoint.

Initial Configuration

As part of the Costpoint Analytics implementation, select all of the reorganizations that you want to make available for analysis.

To select reorganizations, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Reorg under Reorg Selection.

  2. If the reorganizations you want to apply are listed together, click the first reorganization, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the mouse pointer over the other reorganizations.

If the reorganizations you want are not listed together, press the CTRL key as you click each of the reorganizations.

To remove a selection, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Reorg under Reorg Selection to display the list of selected reorganizations.

  2. Press the CTRL key as you click the reorganization for which you want to clear the selection.

Ongoing Administration

These configuration settings require no ongoing maintenance. At any time, however, you can change the set of reorganizations that you make available.
