Set Up Your Browser to Work with Costpoint

The steps to configure the Internet Explorer (IE) browser settings for Costpoint access are detailed in this section.

This step must be performed on all Windows client workstations that will access Costpoint.

To configure the browser settings for accessing Costpoint:

  1. Open your Internet Explorer browser, and click Tools > Internet options.
  2. On the General tab of the Internet Options dialog box, and click Settings under the Browsing history section.
  3. On the Temporary Internet Files tab of the Website Data Settings dialog box, complete the following, and click OK:
    Option Description
    Check for newer versions of stored pages Select Automatically.
    Disk space to use Enter at least 100 Megabytes (MB).
  4. On the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
  5. Select Trusted sites, and click the Sites button.

    Depending on your environment, you may need to add your Costpoint SaaS URL’s under Trusted sites or modify browser security settings to allow Costpoint to function.

  6. In the Add this website to the zone field, enter the URLs that are applicable for your Deltek Cloud solution.

    Each application can have its own URL. You should navigate to each application to retrieve the applicable URL to be included in this zone field.

    For example:

    • https://<productprefix>.deltekenterprise.com (that is, https://yourcompanyname-cp.deltekenterprise.com)
    • https://<productprefix>.costpointfoundations.com (that is, https://yourcompanyname-cp.costpointfoundations.com)
  7. Select the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box, and click Add.
  8. Click Close.
  9. Click OK to close the Internet Options screen.
  10. Click Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Turn off Pop-up Blocker.

    Remember to exclude your application url’s that you have included as your trusted sites.

  11. Close your Web browser.
