Set Up CER, Costpoint Analytics, and Capture Analytics Users in Costpoint

Add users and their username into Costpoint and identify which modules the user should have rights to in Costpoint.

In Costpoint:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Users screen
  2. Click the Authentication tab
  3. In the Authentication Method field, select Active Directory.

    Users will not be able to access Costpoint Analytics or CER if their Authentication Method is not set to Active Directory.

  4. The Costpoint Login ID must be the same as the user’s Username that was created in Create New User Accounts section of this guide.

    For example, the Costpoint Login ID must be set to 12345.john.smith.

    Populate the Active Directory or Certificate ID field with the user’s username .

  5. Reminder: To provide a user with CER access, you must give the user or the user group access to the ERCOGNOS (Enterprise Reporting) application.

    You must set up the ERCOGNOS user group.

  6. Reminder, to provide a user with Costpoint Analytics or Capture Analytics access, you must give the user or the user group access to the BIQLIKVIEW application.

    You must setup the BIQLIKVIEW user group.
