Table Window
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Line | This field displays the service request line number. |
| SVC Order Line Status | This field displays the service request line status. The system-defined statuses are:
Once all line-item quantities have been fully invoiced and the invoices are posted to the general ledger through the Service Order Journal, the line status updates to S (System Closed). The S (System Closed) status cannot be modified. When all service line items reach S (System Closed), the service order header status also changes to S (System Closed). |
| Include on Work Order | Select this checkbox to indicate that a particular line item will be included when creating a work order. This defaults to check if the Create Work Order checkbox in the header is selected and is editable. If the Create Work Order is not selected, this checkbox becomes inactive. If a work order that is linked to the service order line exists, this checkbox is not editable. This will be inactive and unchecked for the following conditions:
|
| Ready for Invoice | Select this checkbox to mark the line as Ready for Invoice. When a related work order is created and completed, this checkbox is automatically selected during completion, and the associated costs are updated. You can also manually select or clear this checkbox. If no work order is associated, select this checkbox once the work has been completed. For lines with the Invoice Only line type, this checkbox is selected automatically if both Component Process/Issue Components are unchecked. If Component Process is checked but Issue Components is unchecked, this checkbox can be selected. Otherwise, if both are selected, components must be fully issued before you can select this checkbox. For lines with the Miscellaneous line type, this checkbox is selected automatically. Note: When you select the Ready for Invoice checkbox at the header level, all service request lines must also have their Ready for Invoice checkbox selected. If any line is not marked Ready for Invoice, the application displays a blocking error message and prevents saving. To invoice the service request, you must mark Ready for Invoice at both the line level and the header level. |
| Line Type | Select a line type to specify how the item is processed and invoiced: Invoice Only: Select this option for items, where the service only is invoiced, or for an item that requires component processing or when a work order is needed. Costs are posted to the general ledger through the Service Request Journal (direct invoice or component processing) or the inventory journal (work order only). Miscellaneous: Select this option for charges or items that do not fall under standard invoice, inventory, or drop shipment processing. |
| Misc Ln Chg Type | Enter, or click |
| Service Item | Enter, or click |
| Rev | When you enter a valid item, this field displays the latest revision. You can revise this value to an earlier revision number if you are using part revisions. |
| Description | This field displays the description of the item (Part or Service) entered. |
| Item Type | When you enter the item revision, the application updates this non-editable field based on the pre-defined type of the service item being entered. The system-defined types are as follows:
|
| Make/Buy | This field displays M (Make) or B (Buy) for the selected part. This field defaults from the Manage Parts screens. |
| Part Security | This field is visible only if the Use Part Data Security Controls checkbox is selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen, which indicates that the item is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the item you are accessing is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that item:
Note: If you are unauthorized to access parts or revisions that are subject to data security restrictions, then you will not be able to create or edit SR lines for that restricted part/revision. |
| Taxable | This checkbox is selected by default based on the tax status retrieved from the Ship ID. It is also automatically selected when the Taxable checkbox is selected on the Header Info tab. You can designate the service request line as taxable by selecting the Taxable checkbox on the header. For miscellaneous service request line charge types, the default value of this checkbox is determined by the tax status set in the Manage Line Charge Types screen. |

| Work Order ID | This field displays the generated work order ID. Service request lines are generated as work order lines. A single work order can include one or multiple service request lines. Because additional lines can be added after a work order is created, service request lines may be associated with different work order IDs or may not be associated with a work order at all. |
| Work Order Type | Enter, or click
The available work order type is determined by the selected Service Type. |
| Quote Number | Enter the applicable quote number for the line item. |
| Trans Currency Gross Unit Price | If you are using Multicurrency, the label of this field displays the prefix "Trans Currency". Each line item amount is displayed in the transaction currency. Once you populate the Components subtask and select the Recalculate button, the application recalculates the Gross Unit Price field value as follows: Baseline Unit Price + ((sum of components' Incremental Extended Price Amounts)/SR line's Order Quantity)). If you modify the Baseline Unit Price field, the Gross Unit Price field recalculates. However, if you modify the SR line's Gross Unit Price or Order Quantity fields (or the component's Order Quantity or Incremental Unit Price fields), you must click the Recalculate button on the Components subtask. You can enter a maximum gross unit price of 99,999,999.9999 in this field. You cannot enter negative unit costs. |
| Volume Discount | Enter the volume discount percentage to be applied to the gross unit price of the item. The Header Info tab provides a default value for this field but can be overridden. Enter a 5.25% discount as 5.25. The discount percentage is intended as a volume discount, rather than a cash or payment discount. If you leave this field blank, Costpoint derives the value from the gross unit price and net unit price entered. |
| Trans Currency Net Unit Price | If you are using Multicurrency, the label of this field displays the prefix "Trans Currency". Each line item amount is displayed in the transaction currency. Enter the net unit price of the item. This is the price of one unit of the item after any volume discounts have been applied. The application derives the net unit price from the gross unit price and applicable volume discount percentage, if they have been entered. |
| Trans Currency Line Charge Price Amount | If you are using Multicurrency, the label of this field displays the prefix "Trans Currency". Each line item amount is displayed in the transaction currency. You can add additional, miscellaneous charges for a line item on the Line Charges subtask. The cumulative price of the line charges entered on the Line Charge subtask displays, and you can modify it only on that subtask. |
| Sales Tax/VAT Code | Enter, or click |
| Baseline Unit Price | Enter, or click
If you modify the Baseline Unit Price field and one or more component lines exist, the Gross Unit Price field recalculates. | Trans Currency Sales Tax/VAT Amount | If you are using Multicurrency, the label of this field displays the prefix "Trans Currency". Each line item amount is displayed in the transaction currency.
