Run Pool Journal Anomaly Detection

As part of the agentic financial close, you can run Dela’s anomaly detection when computing pool rates. When enabled, Dela analyzes rate calculations and pool balances using three years of historical data to identify anomalies before journal entries are created.

During the analysis, Dela evaluates rates at the pool level and amounts at the account/org level. Identified anomalies may include:
- Rate deviations (PTD or YTD rates that are unusually high or low)
- Variance from expected trends (PTD/YTD rates compared to prior periods/years)
- Base amount fluctuations (current or YTD base amounts that show significant increases or decreases)
- Variance from target rates

To run the pool journal anomaly detection:
1. Open the Compute/Print Pool Rates screen.
2. Select the Run AI Analysis checkbox.
3. Run Compute Pool Rates.
4. If Dela identifies anomalies, a notification message is displayed. No message is displayed when no anomalies are detected.

Once Dela completes the anomaly detection process, you can review details of the flagged records on the Pool Analysis Inquiry screen.

To review pool journal anomalies:
1. Open the Pool Analysis Inquiry screen.
2. Enter or select a Fiscal Year, Period, and Allocation Group.
3. Click Execute.

Costpoint displays the pool analysis results on the Details subtask. Use the Account/Organization Details subtask to view analysis details for pool cost and pool base at the account/org level.
