Contract Notification Preprocessor

Use this screen to automate the delivery of email notifications for contract deliverables.

Note: For Costpoint Cloud, you can choose to opt in to this feature for the Costpoint 2025.4 release. The ability to opt in is temporary and will be removed when the feature becomes automatically enabled for all users as part of a future Costpoint release. See the Manage Opt-In Features topic for more information.

This application scans deliverable records created on the Manage Contract Deliverables screen or on the Contract Deliverables subtask of Manage Contracts. It:

• Identifies those records that meet the criteria for sending reminders (Reminder checkbox is selected)
• Checks for deliverables with an incomplete status (Status is set to Not Started, Needs Review, Approved, On Hold, or In Progress)
• Compares due dates against the current system date and uses the Revised Due Date, if specified, instead of the Original Due Date
• Pulls the email addresses specified in Manage Contract Deliverables or Manage Contracts
• Sends notifications based on configured reminder intervals (for example, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, or 1 week before due date)

You can run Contract Notification Preprocessor manually or schedule it as a recurring job using the Manage Jobs application. If you choose to schedule it, make sure the job runs only once per day to avoid duplicate notifications. Note: While reminder settings are configured in Manage Contract Deliverables or Manage Contracts, email notifications will not be sent automatically. To trigger the notifications, you must run Contract Notification Preprocessor, either manually or as a schedule job.
