Projects Cost Categories

Use this screen to display summary cost, budget, and variance information for sub-tasks below the level of the selected project.

You must provide information for all enabled fields in order for the report to run as expected, else an error message displays.

Level Down

Select from the following level down report parameters.

Report Type

Select the type of report you want to display. Choose from the following options:

• Cost: Select this option to display summary cost information.

• Budget: Select this option to display summary budget information.

• Variance: Select this option to display summary variance information. If you select this option, the Source column, which contains the budget type, version number, and version code of a budget/EAC, displays on the Burdened Cost, and All Periods subtask.

If you select Budget or Variance, only budget/EAC versions that are marked as final on the Project Budgets / EACs screen are included in the report.

Cost Type

Select the type of cost you want to display.

Choose from the following options:

• Staff Hours

• Materials

• Subcontracts

• Travel

• Consulting

• Other Direct Cost

• Summary

All Sub-Tasks

Select the All Sub-Tasks check box to display all tasks under the current project level selected.

Budget Type

If you selected the Budget or Variance report type, select one of the following from the drop-down list:

• Budget: Select this option to display the latest budget information.

• EAC: Select this option to display the latest EAC information.  

EAC displays in the drop-down list only if an EAC exists for the project.

View Timing

If you selected a report type of Budget or Variance, select one of the following options:

• Past: Select Past to display the last seven periods.

• Future: Select Future to display the next seven periods.

Sub Reports

Select from the following sub report parameters.

Burdened Cost

Select this check box to display combined burned cost details.

All Periods

Select this check box to display combined details for all periods.

Project ID

Enter, or click to select, the project ID.  

Subtasks

After you select the Project ID and set other report options, click to load budget information for level down projects.

The only projects that display are those that have budgets and those to which you have access based on Org security and project reporting rights.

To display lower level details, choose from the following links:

• Level Down -  Click this link to display summary cost information by element (for example, labor, materials, subcontractor, and so forth) for level-down projects.

• Burdened Cost - Click this link to display only the burdened cost breakdown category details. After the table opens, a link for the next level down displays. Thereafter, each table you open includes a link to the next level down.

• All Periods - Click this link to display the details for the selections you made under All Periods.
