SUBSTITUTE PARTS

Sequence

This column displays the sequence in the order of preference for the substitute part. If there are multiple rows of possible substitute parts, the one with the lowest sequence number is selected.

Substitute Type

This column indicates whether the substitute part is a Part Substitute or a Project Substitute Part.

Substitute Part

This column displays the substitute part that can be exchanged for the specific item.

Rev

This column displays the revision of the substitute part.

Description

This column displays the description of the substitute part.

Part Security

This field is visible only if the Use Part Data Security Controls check box is selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen, which indicates that the substitute part is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the substitute part you are accessing is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that part:

Unrestricted— The substitute part is not subject to data security restrictions.
Restricted— The substitute part is subject to data security restrictions and that you are authorized to access detailed part information.
***UNAUTHORIZED***— The substitute part is subject to data security restrictions and that you are not authorized to access or view part information. This value is displayed in red background color.

If you are unauthorized to access parts or revisions that are subject to data security restrictions, then you will not be able to create or edit SO lines for that restricted part/revision. In addition, you will not be able to view Line Documents, Substitute Parts, and Manufacturer/Vendor part information for those restricted items.

The features in this release relating to Part Data Security are intended to assist your company in achieving ITAR compliance. However, it is each company’s responsibility to confirm that it is meeting its obligations with respect to ITAR or other applicable requirements. Deltek does not warrant that use of this functionality will result in compliance.

U/M

This column displays the unit of measure of the substitute part.

Status

This column displays the status of the substitute part.

Inv Abbrev

This column displays the inventory abbreviation code associated with the substitute part.

Project

This column displays the ID of the project associated with the inventory abbreviation.

Net Available Quantiy

This field displays the net available quantity of the part/inventory abbreviation combination. It is the sum of all the On Hand Quantity, InInspection Quantity, In Shipping Quantity, In MRB Quantity, On Order Quantity, On Requisition Quantity, Owed Quantity, and Planned Owed Quantity minus the sum of the ReservedQuantity and Planned Reserved Quantity fields for the part/inventory abbreviation combination. (In MRB is included only if you selected the Incl MRB as Available Inventory check box in the Configure Production Control Settings screen in Costpoint Production Control.)

Current Available Quantity

This field displays the current available quantity of the part/inventory abbreviation combination. It is the sum of all theOn Hand Quantity andIn Inspection Quantity minus the ReservedQuantityfor that part/inventory abbreviation combination.
