Use this subtask to specify how Costpoint consume forecasts once reservations are created for a sales order line. If you select the Allow Change of Forecast Qty in Enter Sales Orders option on Configure Master Production Scheduling Settings screen you can modify values on this screen and adjust the forecast part and inventory abbreviation to be consumed by the sales order line.
You can also select forecast records by need date and adjust the quantity to be consumed on each open forecast. You are not required to match the amount to be consumed from forecasts with the sales order line quantity. It is acceptable to consume more or less than the sales order quantity.
Use the fields preceding the table window to specify what forecasts you want loaded on the screen. Select the desired part, inventory abbreviation, and date range option, then click the Autoload Forecasts button to load the forecast requirements.
Enter, or click to select, the part you want to consume forecasts from. This part defaults from the sale order line item's MPS Planning Part field on the Manage Item Billings screen in Product Definition.
Enter, or click to select, the part revision you want to consume forecasts from. This field is disabled if Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item check box is not selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen.
Enter, or click to select, the inventory abbreviation you want to consume forecasts from. This inventory abbreviation defaults from the sales order line's inventory abbreviation.
Select this option to load only forecasts with the same need date month and year as the sales order line ship by date.
Select this option to load only forecasts where the need date week is the same as the as the sales order line ship by date's week. Weekly periods are determined using the Ending Day of Production Week value on Configure MRP Report Print Options screen.
Select this option to load all open sales forecasts for the designated part and inventory abbreviation, regardless of the forecast requirement's need date.
Click this button to populate the table window based on the selected part, inventory abbreviation and designated data range. Once the forecast requirements have been populated, you can manually modify the forecast.
This field displays the sum of all Order Consume Forecast Quantity fields currently displayed on the screen.
Click this button to set the Order Consume Forecast Qty field on all records to zero.
Enter, or click to select, the part you want to consume forecasts from. This field is modifiable only for new records.
Enter, or click to select, the part revision you want to consume forecasts from. This field is modifiable only for new records. This field is also disabled if Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item is not selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen.
The description of the selected part and revision displays in this column.
This field is visible only if the Use Part Data Security Controls check box is selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen, which indicates that the part/revision is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the part/revision you are accessing is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that item:
Unrestricted— The part/revision is not subject to data security restrictions.
Restricted— The part/revision is subject to data security restrictions and that you are authorized to access detailed part information.
***UNAUTHORIZED***— The part/revision is subject to data security restrictions and that you are not authorized to access or view part information. This value is displayed in red background color.
Enter the quantity you want to reduce the open forecast quantity by when reservations are generated for this sales order line.
Enter the forecast need date you want to consume forecasts from. This field is modifiable only for new records.
This field displays the open sales forecast quantity for the record's part inventory abbreviation and need date.
Enter, or click to select, the inventory abbreviation you want to consume forecasts from.
Enter, or click to select, the project you want to consume forecasts from.
This field displays the original sales forecast quantity for the record's part inventory abbreviation and need date.
This field displays the forecast part's inventory, or default, unit of measure.
This field displays the ID of the planner responsible for the forecast record.
