Use this subtask to review, update, or delete forecast rows generated from the main screen's process. After you are satisfied that the forecast data is what you want, click to update the MPS forecast requirements.
If you selected the Overwrite Existing Forecasts check box and Costpoint identified existing records to populate, it overwrites the open forecast quantities on the record. It does not allow you to update part, inventory abbreviation, and warehouse information for these records.
If you did not select the Overwrite Existing Forecasts check box and Costpoint identified existing records to populate, it does not overwrite the forecast quantities and does not allow you to update these records manually.
Enter, or click to select, the date on which the forecasted requirement is needed.
This option is set to Y if the forecast requirement existed before the process was run. Costpoint limits the fields you can modify for rows added previously.
Enter, or click to select, the part ID the forecast consumes.
Enter, or click to select, the part revision the forecast consumes.
This field is disabled if the Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item option is not selected on the Corporate Settings block of the Configure Product Definition Settings screen.
This field displays the part's description.
Enter, or click to select, the inventory abbreviation for which you want to produce the forecast requirement. The inventory abbreviation determines the project to which the forecast is linked.
This field displays the name of the inventory abbreviation linked to this forecast.
The part's default or inventory unit of measure.
This field displays the inventory project ID for the inventory abbreviation linked to this forecast.
Enter, or click to select, the warehouse for this forecast requirement.
Enter, or click to select, the planner for this forecast. Costpoint assigns a default planner for new requirements based on the Default Restrictions for Completed MOs option selected on the Configure Production Control Settings screen.
Enter, or click to select, the BOM (Bill of Materials) configuration for this forecast. This column is hidden if you did not select to use BOM configurations on the Configure Bills of Material Settings screen.
This field displays whether the part is planned by the MRP or the MPS process.
Enter the forecasted sales quantity still open for this forecast. This quantity represents the sum of open (not issued) sales order inventory demand for the given part/project/warehouse due to be shipped within the specified date/period.
Enter the open forecasted "other" demand for this forecast. This quantity represents the sum of open, user-defined forecast quantity needed for the given part/project/warehouse/MPS plan within the specified date/period.
The actual column label depends on what is entered on the Configure Master Production Scheduling Settings screen's User-Defined Forecast Label field. If you did not specify a user-defined forecast label, this column is hidden.
This field displays the original sales forecast quantity. The original forecast quantity is not updated by sales order consumption and is used for reference and for copying forecasts to a future period.

For existing rows, this field displays the quantity of a forecast that has already been consumed by sales orders.
