Use this subtask to view current inventory information for any substitute parts for the part shown on the main screen. If you select only one project in the main screen, Costpoint checks to see if substitutes are allowed for that part/project. If substitutes are allowed, Costpoint then checks to see if project-specific substitutes are defined for that part. If substitutes are not allowed, no substitute parts display. This information is defined on the Manage Parts screen. Otherwise, Costpoint looks at the substitute parts defined in Product Definition. The display includes only inventory quantity information from the selected projects, unless you select the View All Projects check box.
This field displays the part ID.
This field displays the part revision number.
This field displays the part description.
This field displays the part's unit of measure.
This field displays the MPS planning code for the schedule selected on the main screen (P is the code for the "official" MPS Production plan; other codes represent "what-if" plans).
This field displays the inventory project.
This field displays the project abbreviation.
Select this check box to view the substitute part's inventory across all inventory projects.
If you change the View All Projects check box, click this button to reload the table window.
This field displays the ID of the substitute part.
This field displays the revision number of the substitute part.
This field displays the description of the substitute part.
This field displays the substitute part's default or inventory unit of measure. All quantities listed on the row display assuming this unit of measure.
This field displays the inventory abbreviation code assigned to the inventory quantities displayed in this row.

This field displays the current available quantity for the substitute part/inventory abbreviation combination. It is the sum of On Hand and In Inspection quantities minus the Reserved quantity, for the part/inventory abbreviation combination.
This field displays the net available quantity for the part/inventory abbreviation combination. It is the sum of all the on hand, in inspection, in shipping, in MRB, on order, on requisition, owed, and planned owed quantities minus the sum of reserved and planned reserved quantities, for the part/inventory abbreviation combination. In MRB (Materials Review Board) inventory is included only if you selected the Incl MRB as Available Inventory check box on the Configure Production Control Settings screen.
This field displays the sum of all quantities for the substitute part/inventory abbreviation combination in on-hand locations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities for the substitute part/inventory abbreviation combination in inspection and reinspection locations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities for the substitute part/inventory abbreviation combination in shipping locations.
