Use this subtask to assign values to the user-defined fields for each item within Product Definition. The labels for these user-defined fields must have been established previously on the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen.
Set up this screen when initializing service information, and after you have established the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen. Maintain this screen whenever you need to modify or add data in the Values field.
The data type created on the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen displays in this column.
If this field displays Date, the application only allows entry of a date in the Date Value field.
If this field displays Numeric, the application only allows entry of a number in the Numeric Value field.
If this field displays Text, the application the application only allows entry of alphanumeric text in the Text Value field.
The labels created on the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen display in this column. Select the desired label and press the Autoload button to apply it to the service.
If a line's Data Type is Text and the Validated Text field is Y (Yes), enter, or click to select, a value in this field that was created for the label on the Validated Text subtask of the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen.
If a line's Data Type is Text, the Validated Text field is N (No), and the Costpoint Validation Field is not populated, you can enter any alphanumeric text in this field.
If the Costpoint Validation Field is populated with an existing data table name, enter, or click to select, a value in this field that corresponds to that particular data table.
If the Required field is Y (Yes) for any given line and if the selected line's Data Type is Text, you must populate the this field.
If a line's Data Type is Number and the Validated Text field is Y (Yes), enter, or click to select, a value in this field that was created for the label on the Validated Text subtask of the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen.
If a line's Data Type is Number, the Validated Text field is N (No), and the Costpoint Validation Field is not populated, you can enter any numeric text in this field.
If the Costpoint Validation Field is populated with an existing data table name, enter, or click to select, a value in this field that corresponds to that particular data table.
If the Required field is Y (Yes) for any given line and if selected line's Data Type is Number, you must populate this field.
If a line's Data Type is Date and the Validated Text field is Y (Yes), enter, or click to select, a date in this field that was created for the label on the Validated Text subtask of the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen.
If a line's Data Type is Date, the Validated Text field is N (No), and the Costpoint Validation Field is not populated, you can enter any date in this field.
If the Costpoint Validation Field is populated with an existing data table name, enter, or click to select, a date in this field that corresponds to that particular data table.

If the line's Data Type is Text and the Costpoint Validation Field was populated in the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen, this column displays the value from the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen, which is the Costpoint field that is the source for acceptable entries in the values field for this row.
This column displays Y (Yes) if special text items (that is, if the Data Type field is Text) were created for this row on the Validated Text subtask of the Manage Item User-Defined Labels screen. These items are available for Lookup in the Text Value field. The value N (No) in this column indicates no special items were created for this row.
The value Y (Yes) in this column means this field is required for each item. The value N (No) means this field is not required for each item. Select the desired label and click the Autoload button to apply it to the service.
