Use this subtask to create various unit of measure conversions for this part using the codes established on the Manage Units of Measure screen. Use it when initializing the part and when making additions or modifications.
Enter, or click to select, the code indicating the unit of measure being converted "from."
Enter, or click to select, the code indicating the unit of measure being converted "to."
Enter the conversion factor. The conversion factor is the value by which the U/M From unit of measure is to be multiplied or divided to determine the U/M To unit of measure.
Select Multiply or Divide to indicate whether to multiply or divide the Conversion Factor to determine the unit of measure.
Use the drop-down list to select the rounding type code. The available rounding types are:
Normal — Select this option for normal rounding rules, that is, no rounding.
Up — Select this option to increase to the next higher whole number
Down — Select this option to lower to the previous whole number.
The default is Normal.

You can associate a given part with many different units of measure. You might order the given part as cases one time and in boxes the next. This would give you two different U/M From codes (Case and Box). To stock both orders into inventory as Each, you must convert from Case to Each and from Box to Each. This allows you to set up all possible combinations for the given part.
