Use this screen to set up engineering change types. Engineering Change Notice types are used to classify engineering change notices and can be used to determine which engineering change approval process to use. You can also link default priority codes, customer approval requirements, and functional groups affected by an engineering change. When you specify an engineering type on a new Engineering Change Notice, the default priority codes, classes, and impact groups are loaded as default values on the Engineering Change Notice. If you have indicated that Engineering Change Notice approval processes are assigned by engineering types on the Configure Engineering Change Settings screen, the system will also load the approval process. You cannot modify the approval process if you load it in this way.
