What can I do in this screen?

Use this screen to enter workflow case values.

This subtask automatically displays when you enter the application via the primary screen.

When should I use this screen?

Set up information in the following screens in Costpoint client/server before using this screen:

Field Descriptions

Label *

The system populates this non-editable field with values from the Label field in the Case subtask of the Define Workflow Models screen in Costpoint client/server (Others\Workflow\Design).

The labels are the key identifiers for the workflow case.

Value

Enter, or use Lookup to select, up to 30 alphanumeric characters for the value.

If you selected "All" in the Valid Values drop-down box in the Define Case Labels screen in Costpoint client/server (Others\Workflow\Design), Lookup will not return any values, since any value is permitted for a "All" type label.

Depending on your selection in the Valid Values drop-down box in the Define Case Labels screen in Costpoint client/server (Others\Workflow\Design), only certain entries will be valid in this field, as follows:

You can use Lookup to review either the user-defined or system values for this field.

Case labels and values create an identifier for the workflow case.

You can also use a case label and case value as a filter. In order to filter on a specific case and value, you must enter the label, value, and users (to route activities and messages) in the Define Role Filtering screen in Costpoint client/server (Others\Workflow\Design).

You must also add the filter to a role in the Define Roles screen in Costpoint client/server (Others\Workflow\Design).

See the documentation for the Define Role Filtering screen and the Define Roles screen in Costpoint client/server (Others\Workflow\Design) for more information on setting up and using a filter.
