Report Fonts

What can I do in this screen?

Use the fields in this screen to establish a "catalog" of report fonts that will be available for selection when printing reports from Costpoint web.  The fonts that you enable in this screen must first be installed at the Actuate report server .

Four "system" fonts are pre-loaded:  Arial, Arial Narrow, Courier New, and Times New Roman.  You can enable additional "user" fonts of your choice once they are installed at the Actuate report server.

When should I use this screen?

Set up this screen during initialization, before you are ready to print or view reports.  

You must also set up this screen before you assign a default font for each company in the System Settings screen [Administration\Configure\System] and before you attempt to override the default font in the Page Setup dialog at report print/view time.

Are any default fonts automatically available?

The following fonts are automatically provided to the Actuate report server when you install Costpoint web, and cannot be deleted:

How can I add additional fonts?

You can add additional fonts to the Actuate report server outside of Costpoint web by following the Actuate Server Administration installation instructions.

Once the additional fonts are installed, you will add them in this screen to make them available for viewing/reporting.

Note:  The functionality in this screen is similar to the System Printers application (Administration\Maintain\Printers\System Printers) in that you must first install additional printers to the Actuate server before you make those printers available in Costpoint web.

Why do some reports ignore the font I have selected?

Some reports (for example, specifically designated government reports such as the DD250) are created by the system to always print using a pre-selected, hard-coded font.  In these cases, the font selected in System Settings or specified as an override at report print/view time will be disregarded.

Note:  It is possible that a font available on the Actuate server is not available on your machine (where the browser is located).  In this circumstance, the browser cannot display the font, and will use the browser's default font as designated in the Internet Explorer Settings (Internet Explorer\Tools\General\Fonts).

Font Name *

For pre-loaded system font names, this field is not editable.   

You cannot delete preloaded font rows.

To add an additional font name, enter up to 50 alphanumeric characters, or use Lookup to select, the font name.

Source *

This field is not editable.

For pre-loaded system fonts, "System Font" automatically displays in this field.

For user-added fonts, "User Font" automatically displays in this field.

Available at Runtime

Select this checkbox if this font should be available for use at runtime.

* A red asterisk denotes a required field.

Table Information

Changes to this screen update the W_RPT_FONTS (Report Fonts) table.
