This screen contains two table windows, which automatically display in the screen concurrently, and function as follows:
Use the primary table window, Report Categories, to enable/disable permissions to print, print to file, download, e-mail, archive, print cover page, audit report delivery, and assign a report archive category to each report category pre-loaded into Costpoint web.
Use the second table window, Assigned Reports, to view the individual system-assigned reports assigned to each selected report category in the first table window.
Note: You can assign an archive category to a report category in these screens. Alternately, you can assign a report category to an archive category in the Report Archive Categories screen (Administration\Maintain\Reports). |
Set up this screen during initialization, before you print system reports.
If you plan to assign an archive category to a report category, you must have first established archive categories in the Report Archive Categories screen (Administration\Maintain\Reports).

Select this checkbox to allow the printing of hard-copy reports for this report category.
This checkbox is active by default.
You can access the Print option by clicking on the Print Options icon in the menu bar.
Select this checkbox to allow the printing of reports to a file for this report category.
This checkbox is active by default.
You can access the Print To File option by clicking on the Print Options icon in the menu bar.
Select this checkbox to allow users to download reports for this report category.
This checkbox is active by default.
You can access the Download option by clicking on the Print Options icon in the menu bar.
Select this checkbox to allow users to e-mail reports for this report category.
This checkbox is active by default.
You can access the Email option by clicking on the Print Options icon in the menu bar.
Select this checkbox to allow users to archive reports for this report category.
This checkbox is active by default.
You can access the Archive option by clicking on the Print Options icon in the menu bar.
[If this checkbox is not selected, you can still access the Archive function, but the system will display an error message when you attempt to print the report.]
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a report archive category of up to 10 alphanumeric characters.
This field is optional, but your entry is validated against data from the Report Archive Categories (Administration/Maintain/Reports) screen.
This non-editable field displays the name that was set up for the Report Archive Category field in the Report Archive Categories (Administration/Maintain/Reports) screen.
Select "System Default," "Yes," or "No" from the drop-down box to indicate whether the cover page should print with the report for this report category.
The default selection is "System Default," by which the system will reference the default setting for this field in the System Settings screen (Administration\Configure\System). You can select "Yes" to allow overrides to the default or "No" to not permit overrides to the default.
Select this checkbox to enable the system to insert a record into the report audit table (W_RPT_AUDIT table) that contains all the report parameters when a report is successfully printed/e-mailed for this report category
This checkbox is inactive by default.
Use the fields in this table window to view the individual system-assigned reports assigned to the selected report category in the Report Categories table window.
The report ID assigned to the Report Category field in the Report Categories table window displays in this non-editable field.
The system-assigned report name displays in this non-editable field.
