Use this screen to define application conflict types. Classifying and grouping application conflicts provides easier inquiry and reporting for segregation of duty conflicts. This screen also provides a view of application conflicts linked to the conflict types set up in the Conflicting Applications module.
Use this screen when you need to define conflict types to enable you to group various application conflicts for easier inquiry and reporting.
Select the New Record icon to open a new row in the table. Enter a meaningful code in this field (alphanumeric), then hit the Tab key to move to the Description field.
Enter a brief description for the code entered in the Conflict Type Code field.
Select an existing record in the Conflict Type result set in the Segregation of Duties - Conflict Types screen to view any conflicting applications associated with the selected code. The fields in this table are not editable. They reflect the information entered in the Conflicting Applications screen (Administration\Maintain\Segregation of Duties).
This is the alpha designation (e.g., AOMACTVT) for the selected application.
This field displays the descriptive menu name (e.g., Enter A/P Vouchers) for the application.
This field displays the rights ("All" or "Update") associated with the selected application that will cause a conflict.
The module (e.g., AP, PO, GL) associated with the selected application displays in this field.
The domain (e.g., Accounting, Projects) associated with the selected application displays in this field.
This field displays the alpha designation (e.g., AOMACTVT) for the conflicting application.
This field displays the descriptive menu name for the conflicting application.
Conflicting Application Rights
This field displays the rights ("All" or "Update") associated with the conflicting application that will cause a conflict.
Conflicting Application Module
The module associated with the conflicting application displays in this field.
Conflicting Application Domain
The domain associated with the conflicting application displays in this field.
This field displays the description of the conflict.
If this checkbox is selected, the system actively checks for the conflict of applications displayed on this line.
