Rights to these screens are normally restricted to system administrators for the purpose of clearing users and handling application locking issues.
Warning: Use caution when clearing users, since it is possible to corrupt data if you clear a user already logged into Costpoint. |
This screen consists of two table windows that display together, as follows:
Use the Locked Applications table window to view user data, login details, and the current status of Costpoint client/server applications, and to clear the Costpoint Seat Assignment table of user and station assignment combinations for sessions that are no longer active. [If you clear a user from this table window and "Web" displays in the Connection Type field, the system automatically clears the user from the Costpoint Web Application Status table (W_APP_STATUS_INFO).
Use the Costpoint Web Application Status table window to clear users that do not currently display in the Seat Assignment table. Entries only display in this table window if there is no associated entry in the Seat Assignment table.
User ID/station number combinations are not removed from this table if a user exits from Costpoint without closing all open functions (for example, by rebooting the workstation while a Costpoint function is still active).
When the screen first displays, the system displays the user and station number for all sessions recorded as currently active. After confirming that a listed session is no longer active, you can remove it from the table by marking the row for deletion and saving the screen.
Include this utility as part of your routine system administration maintenance procedures. [There is a high probability that users will leave Costpoint without following the normal exit procedure.]
