Use this screen to view preset audit fields and to select/deselect additional fields to audit for changes, in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). The resulting audit tables provide an historical log of changes to key fields and tables that allow you and your auditors to determine any trends or irregular activities.
Note: This "WEB only" application requires a separate license to run. You must also have Lumigent 5.01 or higher to use the functionality within this interface. The combined Audit Field Tracking functions serve as a support device for auditors when adequate internal controls are a concern. Data generated by this application is not company specific. |
Special Note: To prevent unauthorized access to view or manipulate data within audit tables, access to this application should be very restrictive. Only users charged with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and FAR 242.72 compliance and users actively involved in business control processes should have access to this application. Responsibility for maintenance of this application should reside with a senior level staff accountant - Comptroller or higher. |
The actual auditing of the field selections made in this screen is performed outside of Costpoint via a seamless interface with the AuditDB database auditing function provided by Lumigent Technologies. When this screen is opened, Costpoint checks AuditDB and displays a check in the Audit Flag checkbox for all fields selected for audit.
Save this screen to trigger the Lumigent auditing function.
Note: When you enter this screen for the first time, you will be asked to save the screen in order to synchronize the current Costpoint setup to the Lumigent AuditDB tool. This should be done at the time the system is initialized. |
View the results of this process in the Audit Field Tracking Report screen. Note that results are not available immediately. The processing time is controlled by Lumigent.
Use this screen routinely to track changes to key fields within the database. The choices made on this screen are sent to Lumigent where all changes made to the selected fields are recorded.
You may also use the Lumigent tool directly to select different fields to audit or to change the status of a field. This will override the selections made in this screen and users in Costpoint will not know what has been changed. In the future, Lumigent may be able to provide a report of changes made directly in their database. It is advisable not to make changes directly in the Lumigent tool until this report is available.
This application tracks:
