Use this screen to submit jobs to a queue to execute on a process server.
You can execute the job immediately, schedule it to execute at a future time and date, or place the job on hold. If you hold the job, it is submitted to the queue but does not execute until you change the status to "Scheduled" in the Monitor Job Status screen (Administration\Transactions\Job Management) or the Job Queues screen (Administration\Maintain\Job Management). You can also specify whether the process should recur after a specific number of hours, days, weeks, or months.
This screen consists of two sections, Job and Job Parameters, that display simultaneously, and function as follows:
Use the Job screen section to select the specific job, the queue, the timing/recurrence parameters, comments, and to activate the "Submit To Queue" function.
Use the Job Parameters table window to view the report details that were set up for the job, including the module, application, parameter ID, and process or report, as applicable.
Note: Use Query to search for the desired job. Since no data is stored to the database from this screen, the New, Delete, and Save icons are inactive. |
Before you can use this screen, you must first have set up jobs in the Jobs screen (Administration\Maintain\Job Management).
Your system administrator should already have set up queues in the Job Queues screen (Administration\Maintain\Job Management).
