Use this screen to identify users who can approve projects in the Quick Project Setup screen (Projects\Maintain\Project) and in the Approve Quick Projects screen (Projects\Maintain\Project).
You need to set up project approvers before you start using the Quick Project Setup feature. Quick projects cannot be approved by a user until the user has been added as an approver here.
You can add and remove approvers at any time.
The same approval processing occurs from either screen.
In the Quick Project Setup screen, you open each project individually and approve projects one at a time. You select the Approve Project checkbox in the Identification block of the Quick Project Setup screen.
In the Approve Quick Projects screen, you can select more than one project and approve them all at once by clicking the Approve pushbutton. This may save time if you have many projects to approve.
What does the approval process do?
After you enter all the information in Quick Project Setup screen for a project, you must approve the project before you can import it into the permanent Costpoint project tables so that it becomes available in Project User Flow (Projects\Maintain\Project).
Approving makes the project ready for importing.
You import projects in the Import Quick Project Information screen (Projects\Maintain\Project).
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a user whom you want to have the ability to approve projects in either the Quick Project Setup screen or the Approve Quick Projects screen.
After you enter an approver ID, the approver name defaults in this field.

Changes to this screen update the QPROJ_APPRVR (Quick Project Approver Settings) table.
