Use this subtask to enter project location data. Project location data is used primarily to produce lien waivers. Lien waivers are maintained in the Maintain Project Waiver Information screen.
You can also use these fields to group project data by location for state tax apportionment purposes.
Use this subtask when you are initializing your project. You can add data to this subtask at any time. You must have set up the States and Provinces, Postal Codes, and Countries screens (all in Administration\Maintain\Codes) before you can add a project location. You must enter information in this subtask before you can produce lien waivers.
A lien waiver is a document that is signed by a vendor or a customer, acknowledging payment for services rendered and releasing the other party from any liens associated with the work performed. They are essentially agreements that all work has been completed and paid. The Lien Waiver process uses the information in this subtask to produce a lien waiver document. Lien waivers are commonly used in the construction industry.
Use the fields in this group box to identify the location of your project. Some of the values that will be entered in this group box must be established in other screens before they can be entered here.

Enter up to 40 alphanumeric characters to identify the street address of your project.
Enter up to 25 alphanumeric characters to designate the city where the project is located.
Automatically update this field by entering the Postal Code field before the City, State, or Country fields. If the postal code has been previously used in the system, the City, State, and Country fields will automatically display using data stored in the POSTAL_CODE table. Once the City, State, and Country fields populate, you can edit them and the new information will not affect the data stored in the POSTAL_CODE table.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the state or province code. The state or province name will display to the right after a code has been entered. The state or province code must be in the States and Provinces screen to be valid in this screen.
Automatically update this field by entering the Postal Code field before the City, State, or Country fields. If the postal code has been previously used in the system, the City, State, and Country fields will automatically display using data stored in the POSTAL_CODE table. Once the City, State, and Country fields populate, you can be edit them and the new information will not affect the data stored in the POSTAL_CODE table.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a valid postal code. The postal code entered here must first exist in the Postal Codes screen (POSTAL_CD table).

Enter up to 20 alphanumeric characters to identify the county in which the project is located.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a valid waiver document code. Valid lien waiver codes are stored in the LIEN_WAIVER_DOCS table. Set up lien waiver codes in the Maintain Lien Waiver Document Names screen.
