Use this screen to override the hourly pay rate you established in the Employee Salary Information screen (People\Maintain\Employee); in addition, you may use this screen to designate cash fringe payouts.
You should use this screen to evaluate pay rate information for hourly employees only.
The timesheet date will be compared to the data in the Effective Date field to determine the correct pay rate or fringe.
You must select the Enable Wage Determination Feature checkbox in the Labor Settings screen before this screen is available.
Note: Since the Labor Settings screen is not available in this web version, you must make settings changes in the client/server version. After you complete your settings modifications, you must return to the web version and access the Reload Global Settings screen (Administration\Utilities\System Administration). This utility establishes continuity between the web and client/server environments. Select the appropriate checkbox and click the Action icon to execute synchronization. |

Select this radio button to compare the hourly rate in the Employee Salary Information record to the data in the Rate per Hour field.
If the data in the Rate per Hour field is higher than the employee's rate, the override rate is used. If not, the employee's rate is used to calculate labor costs.
Use the fields in this group box to enter the fringe amount per hour and payment method.
Use this field to specify the fringe hourly rate.
The amount specified is an amount per hour.
You can use the data in the Amount per Hour field to calculate the fringe costs, depending on your selection in the Payment Method group box.
Use this group box to determine the handling of the fringe hourly dollar amount.
Select this radio button to use the value in the Amount per Hour field in the calculation of the associated labor hours.
The system automatically generates a timesheet line to record this fringe amount; this timesheet line is separate from the timesheet line recording the base labor costs. This line is generated after you click the Generate Fringe Line pushbutton in the Enter Timesheets screen (People\Transactions\Timesheets).
When the payment method is cash, you must use the WD Fringe Handling screen to allocate the payout.
Select this method if you do not want a fringe line to generate on a timesheet.
The fringe amount per hour, in this case, is only used for analysis purposes.
