Use the optional fields in this tab to enter additional information that can be useful when printing supporting schedules or simply as a reference for the source of the transaction.
Make changes or add data to this screen before billings are calculated. You can use this to review posted data or manually add missing data.
How is the information in this tab used?
The information in this tab is used primarily for informational purposes on the supporting schedules.
Use the fields in this group box to select the journal from which the transaction was posted. The selection you make in this group box will affect which fields in other group boxes will be available for entry.
Select the None radio button if the transaction does not originate from the General Journal, Cash Receipts, or Accounts Payable journals. If this radio button is selected, only data in the Reference Numbers group box and the Posting Sequence No field will be available.
Select the Accounts Payable radio button if the transaction originated in the Accounts Payable journal. If you select this radio button, only the Accounts Payable and Reference Numbers group boxes and the Posting Sequence No field will be enabled.
Select the General Journal radio button if the transaction originated in the General Journal. If you select this radio button, only the General Journal and Reference Numbers group boxes, and the Posting Sequence No field will be enable.
Select the Cash Receipts radio button if the transaction originated in the Cash Receipts journal. If you select this radio button, only the General Journal and Reference Numbers group boxes and the Posting Sequence No field will be enabled.
This group box is available only when you select the Accounts Payable radio button in the Number Entry group box. The Accounts Payable voucher and invoice number display in this group box.
Enter a voucher number that can be used to track this transaction back to a source document. This field will be available only if you have selected the Accounts Payable radio button.
Enter a vendor's invoice number that can be used to track this transaction back to the vendor's invoice. This field is available only if you have selected the Accounts Payable radio button.
Use the fields in this group box to enter or review data for journal entry numbers and cash receipt numbers.
Enter a general journal entry number that can be used to track this transaction back to a source document. This field is only available if you have selected the General Journal radio button.
Enter a cash receipt number that can be used to track this transaction back to a source document. This field is only available if you have selected the General Journal radio button.
Use the fields in this group box to enter or review reference number data.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a reference number that is assigned to reference number 1. The headings entered for Ref 1 in the G/L Settings screen will display your label for this field. Reference numbers are not used during the billing calculations.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a reference number that is assigned to reference number 2. The headings entered for Ref 2 in the G/L Settings screen will display your labels for these fields. Reference numbers are not used during the billing process.
This non-editable field is blank for all user-created transactions. It will only be populated if a record has been inserted by a posting process. All posting processes have posting sequence numbers associated with them.
Changes to this screen update the OPEN_BILLING_DETL (Open Billing Detail) table.
