Customer Credit Limits

What can I do in this screen?

Use this screen to set up the different credit limits that you will offer your customers.

If your company does not use credit limits, enter a description of "No Limit" and enter all "nines" (i.e., "99,999,999.99") in the Limit Amount field. You can then use this same credit limit for all customers.

You assigned credit limits to customers in the Credit Info tab of the Customers screen (Accounting\Maintain\Customers).

When should I use this screen?

Use this screen whenever you need to set up different credit limits for your customers.

Warning:  You cannot delete a credit limit once it has been used in the customer tables.

FAQS

If I assign a credit limit to a customer, will this keep me from posting invoices to that customer that are over the limit?

Credit limits will not stop you from posting invoices. However, if a customer owes more than the credit limit linked to them, the amount over the limit will be included in the minimum payment due on the customer statement.
