Use this screen to set up the different credit limits that you will offer your customers.
If your company does not use credit limits, enter a description of "No Limit" and enter all "nines" (i.e., "99,999,999.99") in the Limit Amount field. You can then use this same credit limit for all customers.
You assigned credit limits to customers in the Credit Info tab of the Customers screen (Accounting\Maintain\Customers).
Use this screen whenever you need to set up different credit limits for your customers.
Warning: You cannot delete a credit limit once it has been used in the customer tables. |
Credit limits will not stop you from posting invoices. However, if a customer owes more than the credit limit linked to them, the amount over the limit will be included in the minimum payment due on the customer statement.
Enter a short description (up to 15 characters) that best describes the limit amount.
For example, if the limit amount were zero, the limit description would be "No Credit."
You cannot have two rows with the same description.
Enter the value of the limit amount.
If you change a limit amount in this table, it will be immediately affect all customers who have that limit.
* A red asterisk denotes a required field.
Changes in this screen updates the AR_CR_LIMIT (A/R Credit Limit) table.
