Use this screen to enter the approver ID and name of each employee authorized to approve vendors.
This screen is part of the Vendor Approval feature. The Vendor Approval feature implements the segregation in your organization of employees authorized to create vendor records from employees authorized to approve vendors. It also creates an audit trail each time a user saves changes. Your organization's internal accounting operations procedures and internal documentation could require the use of segregation, an audit trail, or both, to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
You must set up the approver ID of authorized users in this screen before you can use the Approve Vendors screen. Otherwise, the system allows only read-only access to the Approve Vendors screen.
You are required to initialize this screen only if you select the Requires Approval check box in the Vendor Approval group box of the A/P Settings screen. If you select this check box, use this screen to set up employees as authorized approvers.
Enter, or use to select, the ID of the employee authorized to approve vendors.
This non-editable field displays the employee name associated with the Approver ID.

Changes in this screen updates the VEND_APPRVR table.
